More prayers are needed not only for Seattle but Houston. I can't imagine the horror.

When will this insanity stop. How did we get to this point.

We had our own little incident right here in bucolic Columbia, MD this morning. Getting kind of close to home. About 6 miles from where I live.

All in Hurricane Matthew's path, stay safe! Stock up, secure everything possible, evacuate if necessary (because excavation orders are already being issued) and hunker down wherever is safest.

Latest predictions put it about 50 miles off the coast (from where I live), moving it closer by about 30 miles. We need the rain, but not like this.

Thoughts and prayers for everyone that will be effected!

I was just updating the situation on google news. IA evacuate, no sense in staying around and taking a chance. It's always better to be in a safe area knowing you're not in the path.

President Obama issued an emergency declaration for Florida Thursday, as Hurricane Matthew approached the state as an "extremely dangerous" Category 4 storm.

An Air Force Hurricane Hunter plane detected sustained winds of 140 miles per hour, as the storm came within 125 miles of West Palm Beach, according to the 2 p.m. advisory from the National Hurricane Center. The storm is traveling northwest at 14 mph.
