I don't remember Chris having much screen/Andi time in the beginning of last season and was surprised when RS spoiled that he was the chosen one.
Tptb want who they want imo and popular vote nor screen time has nothing to do with their choice.

I feel like they will already know the top 2-3 contestants the audience will like, based on edit and how heartbroken they are at being dumped. They are surprised sometimes, like with JP, but I think they usually know who the lead is going to be way in advance. I can definitely see him and Josh being the top contenders and going for early talks. It will be interesting to see if Chris or Ben are spotted in LA. Would give more credence to the bachelor gig vs SHV.
As far as looks go, I feel like he's 1000x better looking than Ben F. I also feel like he has that personality that makes him more attractive than he physically is.

I think they will be looking closely at Ben H or Shawn as the next lead and hopefully only considering Josh to add drama to the angst of their upcoming choice.
