It's not easy. Kasha does not go up stairs now for years. She is 15. My husband carries her up every night for bed. I will carry her up a couple easier steps as we have fallen before, but not the whole flight.
We have our grand pup Lester off and on. It stresses Kasha and I had to carry her down this steps this morning. I was praying we were not going to fall. 
Very slow job leaning against the wall all the way. No good deed goes unpunished.

I am thankful that Oz is so small...7 1/2 pounds...that it is easy carrying him up and down. When I first got him I let him go up and down and saw him go tumbling down and into the wall on the bottom. After that I trained him not to use the stairs. I don't know what I would do if I had a bigger dog...maybe install one of those chair lifts.
You could be the juiciest, most ripe peach, but there is still going to be someone who doesn't like peaches.
