I don't see why Nick would lose fans if he picks Raven. It doesn't seem like Raven does anything objectionable during the season and so far she's come across pretty cool and fiesty. I think some viewers who read the spoiler and really like Vanessa will just be very disappointed but it happens. As is, I do think most signs point to the spoiler being right but I could be wrong.

As for Nick going from that date to the ridiculousness with Corinne, this is why I said I feel like the way Nick responds to each woman depends on who they are. Corinne is all sexual aggression, airhead, ridiculous, etc. so he goes with it and treats her accordingly.

Of course that's not what we will see with Vanessa who much like Dani is the anti-thesis of someone like Corinne. That said, I agree with others on how for all the sexual nonsense with Corinne, there doesn't actually seem to be much chemistry or much of anything between her and Nick.

Notice in the clip of them bouncing around like two morons in that stupid bouncy thing, Nick is rarely touching Corinne. They're completely separate from each other and it is not until they fall that there's any real physical contact and again, Corinne is the one who goes in for the kiss and all the grinding. Now yes to be very clear I am not saying Nick isn't entertaining it. But it's interesting that he doesn't seem to initiate much physical or intimate contact with her.

On the flipside, in the clip with Vanessa there is the forehead kissing, gently stroking of her ankles, her throat as he tries to calm her down, the face nuzzling when she jumped into his arms. And even the way they kissed hello. That wasn't a slobbering, let's just suck face kiss, it was the kind of tender and loving hello kiss couples share.

Believe me I hate the Corinne nonsense as much as the next person and hate how it makes Nick look when part of it because yeah, at 36 it does give off slight, "creepy old guy" vibes but I don't think it's all bad. Of course again, we have yet to see the whip cream debacle (shuddering just thinking about it).

Well if the rumors were true and someone was basically making demands to feature their original music as part of their supposed journey to find love, then yeah, seems reasonable to question their sincerity. And for the record, I'm well aware that all of these people are famewhores but I think it is a bit amusing the Luke was so perfect narrative that continues.

^^ ITA about Nick's lack of chemistry with Corinne. If I were to remove the rumored F3 from the equation, then based purely on sexual chemistry, I see it a lot more with Danielle L than with Corinne.

Since Nick had his meltdown after sending Danielle L home during the 2-1 date, IMO there was something there which just didn't translate into real feelings. With Corinne, it almost seems like she is a character placed there just to keep people talking IMO. I don't see anything between them so far.

While Luke seemed nice enough on JoJo's season, I was never a huge fan because he .... talks ... so ... slow. It was like watching paint dry listening to him. Very monotone. Now Nick, I was and still am practically jumping up and down excited about and let me tell you, I am not a person easily excited.

Seeing just that little clip of Nick's and Vanessa's first date, makes it seem as if putting up with the silly Corinne drama ... and any other stupidity tptb will undoubtably throw at us ... just might be worth it.

I think this CH quote supports your comment about there being nothing there between Nick and Corrine.

Agree.  I don't think there would be any greater a backlash if Raven were F1 then is typical at the end of most seasons.  It's impossible to please all fans so some are always disgruntled.  Because of people like Corrine, Liz, and perhaps Jasmine (yet to be seen) everyone else looks better by comparison regardless of what flaws may be revealed in future epis.

It's hard for me to "like" one person over another when we see so little of the real person behind the character. It has to be in my face to cause a real reaction--like Corinne in your face.

I think there's a big difference between someone "going through the motions" and someone blatantly revealing their intentions by asking about the ways they can self-promote on the show. The former is seems like a predictable response for someone who doesn't thrive in large group situations; while the latter is just plain tacky. When CH talked about Nick getting real, I interpreted it as more of a "wake up and fully invest yourself in this 'process'" rather than "stop being fake."

Classic over thinker mentality.

I know I have to make myself stop doing it. It can really mess with you and in this case tick off the remaining women. Sometimes you can just be too smart for your own good.

Is he using this a test to see how Vanessa, or his potential f1, will react in adversity? to see how they (he and his partner ) will resolve conflicts?
Or is this just all BS to save his face?
I am guessing maybe a little of both. I like Nick but I agree with @Sprite . He looks like a fool (a sex-obseed fool) to many when he gave the group rose to C, IMO.
I need to see his date with Vanessa to block out my memory of him with C.
