For reference: The closest Elise and Laura ever were in max losses was $40 (Laura) and $52 (Elise), and that was mid season. The final week started with Laura at $140 and Elise at $500 loss

Didn't Stu have a max bet of $15 or so when he was officially on the show? Now it's over $660?? That seems rather odd... 

What would the benefit be to Sportsbet to have such a high max bet now on Stu if he's F1?  

Current odds - looks like the odds are changing quite a bit this week Jarrod back in the second spot and Apollo fallen back to third spot. Wonder what the max bet and losses are now?

Stu max bet now $1136, Jarrod $71 and Apollo $50

That max bet is insane but considering the very short odds, I don't think anyone would actually bother betting so much for what would be a relatively small return. Basically I think Sportsbet are just dicking around now.

TY @Sundy   Stu's max bet is crazy!    I don't get why Jarrod's max bet wouldn't be higher if he is not F1 since that's a way for Sportsbet to make more money

I just can't believe that Jarrod is F1, but if he was, this could be Sportsbet gaming it, and seeing as their odds have been a spoiler for the past couple of seasons, and that becoming known, they are hoping to entice people into placing big bets Stu the Sure Thing, only to lose when Jarrod wins? Unlikely, I know, but that's all I can think of

IA @Dirty Street Pie that if Jarrod was F1 it's the only thing I could think as well as it doesn't really make sense for Sportsbet to want people to bet max amounts on a winner/Stu?  

What's the point in having such a high max bet for Stu if they only have to give the money back to those who bet on Stu and win? Granted it is very low odds so not much money for people to make a profit (not sure what the max loss is but it was $200 or so earlier as @SugarAndSpice posted.  

Just very bizarre whatever Sportsbet is doing they seem like they're just messing around like @Bobette posted    Maybe they'll add Osher or some fake name into the mix like they've done before

@AllAboutLove, I think the max losses are equal?

Jarrod 4.00 x $83 = $332, minus the original $83 bet which = $249 max loss for Sportsbet

Stu 1.22 x $1136 = $1385, minus the original $1136 bet which = $249 max loss for Sportsbet.

So technically neck and neck, BUT seriously, how many people are going to throw down $1136 for the chance of winning a measly $249?  Not many IMO and I think that's Sportsbet's thinking.

Excellent point about not many people betting over a thousand dollars to only make a few hundred dollars! I can see Sportsbet's thinking on that then and they're just playing games like you said

I think they've been playing games since the beginning what with Luke's odds and probably made a ton of money there already
