We need to respect that family life is fundamental to our countries' success. 33 weeks is incredible! My son just had a baby last Saturday (first time Grandma here) and he gets 3.5 paid months off. One reason is his company is based in the UK and they try to even out the benefits for all local markets. My DIL gets 6 months paid leave - very generous for the US.
