This makes me wonder if it has to do with something else and not DWTS. With the decline in viewership I don't know how they think TB was anything but a disaster imo.

While Bergeron’s possible involvement in season 30 of DWTS hasn’t been confirmed, he and Andrews hinted in March that they “always” had “something in the works.” After meeting up for cocktails with the sportscaster, Bergeron wrote via Instagram, “Reunited & it feels so good.”

I would love nothing better than to see Tom return. Axing him really annoyed a lot of the longtime fans. I agree that in terms of dancing, the last season was one of the best ever. Plus they finally figured out a good balance between the judges' votes and the fan votes. I liked how the judges got to pick from the bottom two.

At least for now, we know that Val Chmerkovskiy will be taking part! In a new interview with TV Insider, he makes it clear that he will have some sort of role:

There has been other Bach Nation people besides leads who have been on. Melissa Rycroft was on twice. Grocery Store Joe has been on. If Abigail was on this next season that would be fun! She would be the 2nd deaf celeb to be on. Keep an eye out if she follows any male pro dancers.

She seemed like a great person on Matt’s season plus she would be the first BN on DWTS to bring awareness of something significant rather than just wanting more tv time. That’s a plus for both shows.

I never cared for Derek when he was competing because I always felt he was always favoured and given the best partners, but I've come to enjoy him as a judge. He is well spoken and seems to be a good spokesman for the show.
