The rules need to be changed IMO. As soon as an offer is accepted, a title search should be performed along with the vendor providing a discharge statement of their current mortgage, if there is one.

That scenario happens too often all because title isn't searched until days before closing.

Having taught HS and having a student named "sunday" I can tell you it is difficult to go through life with an odd name. I am not a fan. Then again I don't have to be.

I agree on the difficult name. I have one, and it's not easy living life with a name no one has ever heard of, can't pronounce, or spell it. Every day my name is a conversation.

I don't understand the baby registry. Normally you create a site for a baby shower, or a wedding when invitations are sent out. She has her shipping address posted and no baby shower date?

I think the baby registry is a great idea. It gives those wanting to give a gift a great idea of exactly what a new mom wants. There are so many types of things now, brands etc. It takes guess work and returns a bit out of the equation.
There are some cultures that still do not have showers. (evil eye type thing/kina hora) So the registry allows those wanting to gift to send something to the family immediately after the baby is born. The nursery can be set up etc waiting for baby to come home.
