This is so beyond sad. She went to perform and some nut with a gun shot and killed her? Someone that she did not know or know her? Am I understanding this correctly?

They don't have many details yet as it happened late last night. It will take longer to figure out since the shooter killed himself.

They don't know if there was any connection, Kasha. Kudos to her brother for stopping the gunman from shooting anyone else if that's what he intended (which they also don't know).

Just saw on a news alert that the gunman targeted Christina. Don't have the details other than that. Very sad.

I just finished watching John Oliver.
Sometimes I am speechless. Not often.
Tonight they were discussing BrExit. At the end, they had an young boy--between 8 and 10 spoofing Ode to Joy in reference to EU. Every other stanza was F bombs coming out of the boy's mouth. He couldn't have been older than 10.

I kept getting notifications that the value of the pound was falling. Apparently the Brexit vote (Britain leaving the EU) was just completed....i wish peace to all in that region of the world.

I keep thinking the downward spiral of our civilization is moving rather fast. We have not learned the lessons of Rome: we are fiddling while everything around us is "burning." I know that sounds cynical but such is the process of history. JMHO.
