Married At First Sight - Season 1 - The 2nd Year

C&J were already married. The Vegas thing had no binding legal affect. They didn't need to get another license or a blood test. So it really doesn't matter what they called it. It was, in actuality, a silly thing. And likely thought up by the producers. I doubt Courtney and Jason will ever have another wedding like Dough and Jamie did... but really, do they need to? They seem to be pretty set on lifelong commitment and happy with each other.

Anyway, want to comment on Doug & Jamie again after watching the episode, and eesh, Jamie's ex had two kids in their 20's when they were dating? This guy must be in his 50's at least and seems like he may have been more of a dad-replacement than a boyfriend (I seriously hate to play armchair therapist, but with Jamie, her issues are easy to spot from 100 miles away). I really hope she did not try and go back to that dude, because I just got red flags from hearing her talk about it....

It's not the legality of the marriage that I'm talking about. Agreed there's nothing that needs to be changed there. It's the "now that we really know each other" commitment ceremony that I'm thinking about. Anyway, it is what it is, and I sincerely wish them well, even if they don't take my good advice. [/wink & grin]

Jamie's ex has 20-somethings? How could he not be a father surrogate? **edited** This poor woman needs more help than a friendly visit from any of The Experts.

I was wanting to know if there is anyone that would like to have Jamie/Doug or Jason/Courtney seasons put together on one take from beginning to now? I can get each of theirs set up if anyone would like to have them??

C&J in one run (adding Jasmine and Nef, because of Nef's connection with Jason) would be welcome here. I've given up on J&D.

I'd like J&D. Auntie - I always appreciate these, because I usually catch something in them that I otherwise missed.

Ugh Jamie is just annoying now. I haven't caught up on the show yet but just reading her Twitter & IG posts and her trying to show everyone that her & Doug's relationship is still thriving is just trying too hard to convince IMO.

I wish I hadn't given in and watched this show. Jamie is just utterly delusional. I've lost every bit of sympathy towards her. Poor Doug.

BTW her ex is Lonnie Park, the guy who she wrote her wedding song with at the start of the series. Seems she was with him while going on the Bachelor and Bachelor Pad. She is just the ultimate famewhore. Now she's talking about writing a book, like anyone cares.

How do you know who her ex is and that they were together when she was on the Bachelor?

Someone who knows Jamie posted about the relationship on another board after Jamie started bringing up the ex. She didn't name names, but people were speculating it on the MAFS facebook page and then proof was found. I guess he'll be in the next episode anyway, but that won't air until after the new season of MAFS. They were together for 4 years and broke up at some point in 2013. She was on the Bachelor in 2011 and Bachelor Pad in 2012.
