I think this tweet from Caila's father says it all. He ends the tweet "free at last." I would guess that Caila found out Thursday night that she was not going to be the bachelorette, and Friday her family decided to go to something fun together. The whole family is free at last. I really liked Caila on this season and hope for many great things for her and her family. I hope she is not too upset, but Caila and her family will be better off to stay away from anymore of these shows. I could see her doing a travel show, or hosting a TV show. She is so lovely and classy.

I don't think Caila needs to make up national holidays to try and be famous. She's already well known for her balanced outgoing nature. IMO one of the reason's I like her, is she stays clear of reacting to negative posts, which many former contestants have a problem controlling.

Hapa Day is not a National Holiday in the United States

Hapa Day is definitely a real holiday/event. My son's father is from Korea and they are half Korean. My youngest son learned about this holiday when he was doing research for writing a report on his cultural background. Although it was originally based on a Japanese cultural event, many people who are part asian recognize this day.
