I keep thinking of what Chris' mom said at the end of his hometown date - something like "it's magic". It really does seem magical that two great people would find each other and have a happily ever after on this show! I remember Chris marveling how hard Des works, after they moved in together. If ever there was karma on The Bachelor, Des and Chris have to be it!

You know what I keep thinking about?  I wonder if it is available to be viewed anywhere.  I think early in the show (maybe the first episode, before the M&G), Chris is shown on his cellphone excitedly telling his mom "It's Des!"  It showed that she is who he was hoping would be the lead.  It gives me goosies just remembering that!

I just found it. It’s all in the HTD episode. His mom tells Des the story at dinner, in tears:

He let me know the night before he left….. what do I think...
I said: What do you want?
And he goes: If it’s Des, that’s what I want.
And he texted me at the airport: Mom, it’s Des! I just found out.

And then, in an interview:
If you truly love your children, you want the best for them, and I liked what I saw. Good guy, good girl. Put together, magic! What you gonna do?

Magic indeed!

^^^yep, so sweet!! I just adored Chris during Des season and that just keeps getting better. Chris was just a rock to her and so positive all season, getting along with all the guys, not picking fights or steaming in jealousy. He was so certain of his feelings for her and their future as a couple. And, just such a gentleman with no ex girlfriends trashing him in tabloids. What a guy!!  

Gosh, when was the last time that happened???

@MVMom39forever, reading your post has given me flash backs to those early days when Mura was so certain Chris was F1. Popping in here & seeing how these two have panned out in RL is such a joy.

@Blueberry it's really awesome that you are keeping their thread alive & a big   for that. I wish you & poster Murasaki had crossed paths when she was still posting here as she was all sold on the Des/Chris meant to be fairy tale from the very onset.

I do remember..how could I forget my favorite season?! I loved it and the fun we had. And while I gave up hope 2 days before finale cause the spoilers were out of control, I was just delighted with the ending and watching their relationship bloom so strongly. Now parents...Des and Chris will be great.

Seriously, I keep hoping for another season like theirs but just don't think it is in the cards. I have not cared enough about lead and/or final picks since their season, and maybe that is a good thing. Des and Chris set the bar too high, imho.

It's the home stretch, Des is due in 2 weeks which means baby could be here any day now.

Also, I can't wait to see Chris holding a baby!

Any day now. If the baby news comes from a magazine or another source, I probably won't see it quickly so I would appreciate a PM telling me to check here. Please and thanks I have my notifications set up but I imagine Des/Chris won't be posting right away.
