I think Nick as TB was a wise choice compared to Luke. Nice guy but far to laid back for my liking. I think he did real good, nice change from the norm. I'm interested to see the ratings this season.

I'm still not getting the Rachel love.

Is Rachel the attorney? Their conversation last night seemed to me to be more normal/at ease than most on night 1. I wasn't surprised she got the FIR.

Corinne and her nanny, Nick was cute about it on JK.

Why, oh why, have Andi and Kaitlyn on JK?

There are a lot of women of color on this season. Nice to see a balance, rather than the token one or two. I'd rather have none instead of the tokens, because you know they are matter of time girls. With the field more balanced, Nick must be open to having a woman of color as a serious relationship.

I'm loving Nick as the lead. There's something very endearing about him. Even on Andi's season when they portrayed him as a stalker, there was something intriguing about him, kind of like a train wreck, can't help but rubberneck.

I think Nick will make it a great season. I don't know why but he and Brad Womack were great tv and leads for me.

Brad is one of my favorites too. @Kashathediva Did you watch Juan Pablo? If not I think you would've liked him as well. Now that was a guy who didn't GAF about pleasing TPTB.

I did watch JPG. I am pretty positive a lot of JPG's edit etc was he pissed off someone high up. He did a few things that were contrary to what TPTB wanted and that they say is history.

For your reading pleasure. I forgot I had this in my saved pm's. When I read this thread, I wondered if I still had it, and I did. This was sent from someone who was close to those who work in production. Her husband actually worked with or knew them, can't remember exactly but she was going to an event with her husband and some of the people who worked on JPG's season were scheduled to sit at their table. This is what she sent a few of us after the event.

Execs met up with JPG like 4 times before they were able to convince him.  When JPG came to the audition for the Bachelorette, all the females in the ABC production wanted JPG to be TB so the execs didn't want Des to pick him. Execs already set their mind on JPG to be TB before start filming TBrette.  And yes he was offered more money than the other bachelors

Execs interview the contestants and choose the girls they like and show them to TB.  They want TB to concentrate on those girls and let go the rest as the day goes by.  Nikki wasn't one of the girl they picked for JPG

JPG made it clear before he signed the contract that he was not going to propose and that he was  going to spend the night at the FS only with the girl he picks at the end.  Execs agreed with no proposing but not the "going to FS with only the girl he picks".  They told JPG that he can be at the FS and not sleep with the girl but only make it appear as they were going to spend the night.   JPG then agreed.  

JPG fell for Nikki in Vietnam,  That's when all the trouble started.  Execs were pushing him with Claire and Sharleen.  Nikki was not even in the list of the execs' pick but JPG asked for a one on one with her or he would quit.  As you can see the execs had no choice.  After that one on one with Nikki, he wanted another date with her but was denied.  Instead, they wanted JPG to go on another date with Claire. Execs wanted Claire to be the winner.  They kept helping her and asked her to seduce JPG at the FS.  They didn't do anything in the ocean.   They asked Claire to hold him tight.  The filming was only 5 mins.  Claire wanted to spend the night but JPG refused. JPG was offered  A LOT of money to propose to Claire.  Of course JPG refused.  That's why the execs were so pissed with him.  They couldn't bribe him with money

If Sharleen didn't leave, Andi would've never have made it as Bachelorette.  It would have been Sharlene.  JPG was not going to pick Sharleen at the end.  Execs told JPG, Nikki is very close to Andi.  They told him if he let go Andi early,  Nikki would leave on her own so JPG had to make her to be in the final

The guy said, JPG is a cool guy, easy going and fun to be with. He's the complete opposite of what people think of him.   He, along with some other people felt sorry how they (execs) treated him.  He and many others think he's very serious about finding the right person for him and his daughter,  

Regarding the breakup, the guy didn't want to say anything about it but he knows the reason and said it was a valid reason.

Bitter we got stuck with MeAndI as the Bachelorette because Sharleen left.

I don't think Sharleen would have done it. JMO. And the above is exactly why I believe the show is much more scripted and the cast manipulated much more than what we even know. It's also amazing, to me, that as many couples end up getting married.

Pardon my language but this episode sucked balls. I knew I should've just kept watching CSI: Miami reruns.
