If you actually watch the video the article refers to, it is pretty clear they are twisting what Nick said into a nice click bait headline.

They obviously took what Nick said in that live interview and twisted his words. You can watch the interview and see exactly what he said. He has never shied away from saying they are taking things slow and working on their relationship one day at a time, which is what I can say most new couples are doing today. JMO.

I think it's the media, once again, wanting to start drama where there is none.
