Bachelorette 13 - Rachel Lindsay - Episode 8 - July 17 - *Sleuthing Spoilers*

Peter wants to be the next lead, but he's not playing it correctly. To be the next lead, he must go all in and really be heartbroken. But he's not really into Rachel so he doesn't want her to choose him. He keeps her at arms length and gives her just enough to get the rose each week so he can keep moving toward F2/F3. But his commitment issues are now surfacing because he is so ambivalent, so he has just clobbered the very thing he wanted. Poor Peter. tsk tsk JMO

You raised a good point but IMO they are going to make it look like Peter did open up and was ready at the end but it was too late. The same storyline they had going for Luke last season IMO. I am still not sure if it's his gig due to a lot of other factors but IMO he is still one of the main candidates for next season.

Aaah. I didn't see JoJo's season, don't know Luke. Good point, you're probably right. But Luke didn't get it.

I think I might jump on this eric train cause at this point I think it would make for a more interesting FRC. Would be nice to hear an authentic proposal (i joke, i joke) But seriously, Eric would be a nice and welcome surprise in my book

We don't know if he's not ready to commit.  We haven't seen the whole context of his moms conversation with Rachel, and again this is his mother speaking not Peter.  Peter has told Rachel that he doesn't throw the "love" word around carelessly, but he's on that path. IMO I would rather him wait until he's sure instead of saying it so early on as others have done.  If I recall correctly JP didn't tell Ashley he was in love with her until LCD.

We are watching a heavily edited story, **IMO**and to their making, this is Peter's story line, Rachel falls for him but will he commit.

So what you are saying is a lot is being blocked?

Honest question, why does it seem like every one and they mama are getting a story line but Bryan?
Eric: came from a hard childhood but made something out of himself and even though he's never experienced love, he is now ready to give and receive it.
Dean: He has family issues but he somehow manages to stay positive and this difficult situation made him mature faster than necessary despite being the youngest in the house
Peter: Past relationships have caused him to be introspective and seek therapy, thus he is more cautious and logical about love. He may not be ready yet
Bryan: He went to boarding school and was unattractive so he didn't get girls????

If someone else sees a storyline for Bryan please share cause I'm currently looking for something to root for come FRC

I actually saw enough to form my opinion, and that is Peter does not want to be Rachel's F1. He's having a hard time just being there and trying to act IMHO. I don't need to see anything that's being edited out because IMO he just isn't into her. He IMO is already sure, and Rachel isn't the one. Maybe when he does meet someone he really falls for, he could perhaps face her when he speaks, instead of turning his head when she talks while his body is facing away from her. Or maybe he could really hold her hand like he means it and not like it's some sort of dead fish IMHO.
