I think when a potentially right person arrives that will be the right time because IMO Nick has shown himself to always being open to the possibility so he will carve out space/make time to explore potential. I also think he is only interested in dating with purpose at this stage in his life. If he wants female companionship he has plenty of female friends to talk with or hang out with so there is no desire to date just for the sake of dating. His life has its own richness so JMO he is likely to partner with a woman who adds her own richness; both wanting to compliment and enhance a shared life rather than looking to find a partner that completes them.

ETA: Nick out to dinner with some of his best childhood friends. I love how Nick has kept close to his best friends since he was even in elementary school. It says a lot about the type of person he is and how he values the connections he has and his inner circle. Always there for each other throughout life. Love it yes
