 She seems to be a very multi-layered person.
Went to her IG. Rumer was reading “A Confederacy of Dunces” poolside. Intelligentsia in the sun.

Now Nick is out with some guys per his IG story...2 guys’ voices and 1 seen.  Anyone recognize the guy in story?

Looks like they united to make clear to their fans they are friends. Rumer changed the old poolside pic caption of them to Best Buds.
IMO the tabloids have become piranha in that they mine celebrity SM then put out speculation without facts to back it up... very sloppy. The tabloids could have contacted one of them for truth instead of firing up the rumor mill.
