Sportsbet are running a market for premiere viewership and have the start date as 8th Oct - not sure if accurate but worth noting.

Yes, straight off the back of Nick's mess IMO.  

Can you remember if Bette is usually Mon/Tues?  That doesn't seem right - probably more likely Wed the 10th, yeah?

All Bette AU seasons 1-3 aired on a Wednesday (source) so unless they change something IA it's more likely the premiere will be Wed Oct 10th
