I think a girl that can play sport well is a big turn on for me.

What makes you the ultimate catch for Angie?

I’d like to think I’m a really down to earth guy. I’m rough around the edges and don’t pretend to be perfect. I’m very close with family, have a love for dogs and animals in general and am ambitious with what I want to do in my life.

What is one thing about you that people often misjudge?

Being a footballer all of my life, people often expect me to be dumb. I like to surprise people by telling them I study Psychology at university.

Do you believe in love at first sight?

I think love at first sight and lust at first sight are often confused. I wouldn’t personally fall “in love at first sight” because it takes me time to find out a person’s personality and that’s a big factor in how I fall in love.

Describe your dream date?

It would be a day that involves an activity followed by food. I’d like to do something outdoors (rock climbing, motorbike trail ride, etc), and then have a casual late lunch or dinner by the beach.

How will you handle confrontation in the mansion?

I handle confrontation front on. I’m not one to dwell on things and talk behind peoples back. I’d prefer to have an honest conversation with the person and flesh it out.

Growing up in Malabar, he started playing the game at age four, spurred on by his father, former South Sydney and Eastern Suburbs player Sean Garlick.

Seems to me like DM were only able to find Carlin on their own (probably due to his unusual name) and are relying on us to identify the rest.  

The same journo is authoring all the contestant articles so he's probably working on stories for the others as we speak and will release them over the next week or so.  Gotta milk it to pay the bills I guess.
