Congrats to Brooke and Darvid!

The Bachelorette 2021: Brooke Blurton Picks Darvid Garayeli

After a historic and groundbreaking season, on Thursday night Brooke Blurton finally told Darvid Garayeli how she felt about him.
At a beautiful final ceremony, Brooke broke down in tears, struggling to tell Darvid that she was “madly in love” with him.

“From the moment I met you I felt a lot of feelings,” she said after composing herself, “I felt calm, I felt trusting, I felt that instant chemistry and connection I never, ever felt with anyone before.

“You came in here and you granted me three wishes and I still have one left,” Brooke continued, “Darvid, will you make me the happiest girl?”

Brooke Blurton - Bachelorette Australia - Season 7 - Discussion Empty Re: Brooke Blurton - Bachelorette Australia - Season 7 - Discussion

Quote Darvid in their 10Play interview: "I can confirm that as of this afternoon I will live in Melbourne. I made the jump. I always had that intention, I just wanted to make it clear that it was a bit difficult of a process. It wasn’t easy to get here but we’re here. So I packed up my business and I’m moving in".

Then I saw this article and I think this just goes to show Mama Garayeli was probably prodded by producers to play up the whole "I'd murder him if he moved to Melbourne" schtick.

If Bach social media team if anything like MAFS team, they would have been given options for captions.. and even if it wasn't bloody obvious to the average viewer at the time, looking back this caption was a dead giveaway, just take out "hopeful" 😂

Hometowns were also when Brooke realised she loved him, and then we all saw the moment after Darvid told Brooke he loved her on their final date and she just wanted to say it back.

@butterflylove thanks for all that!

I just mentioned in another thread, the F1 MTP always has some sort of drama which we later find out wasn't a big deal.

That's a huge move for him. I wonder why he says it was a difficult process and it wasn't an easy move?

That's a huge move for him. I wonder why he says it was a difficult process and it wasn't an easy move?

He's had to close and sell his business and put his house on the market which by the sounds of a few other interviews has only been put up in the last week or so. He's had to do it pretty discreetly over the last few months, so I can understand the difficulty in it all.

I wonder when they made the decision to move in together, I would presume it was while Brooke was in Perth still? I tried to break down a timeline for filming in another thread, but I guess it also works for when they made this decision too, surely it would have had to be in the plans I'd say from late September? Brooke seemed to go straight into the house after the races on Nov 4., so I'd say she signed the lease agreement that week, and I assume they had Paul or Gab vet the house for them as by the time they found a place and then put in an application / were accepted I'd put that back to mid-early Oct?

butterflylove wrote:Just thinking of timelines, Brooke did promo and watched the premiere in WA. Brooke was back in Melb first week of November and Darvid was spotted with suitcases around this same time (he said he was moving suitcases to his Mum's in a radio interview and thinks this is what the neighbour saw). Brooke also mentioned in one interview that she and Darvid hadn't seen each other before being reunited on Wednesday in 5-6 weeks. I would guess they had a SHV in those few days between Oct 26 and Nov 4 and it would probably have had to have been in one of the NSW / QLD border bubble communities - perhaps Byron Bay ish hinterland (maybe their cosy bush selfie)..

That is a heck of a lot of work to deal with all that but why the rush? I suppose being apart for so long they just wanted to start their lives together as soon as the finale aired.

@GuardianAngel Right i agree it definitely is a bit of a rush but i guess they want to move quickly laugh out loud

But imo living with someone is something that can definitely make or break a couple so i’m definitely curious to see how this will all play out in the upcoming months.

They've been apart for 4 months through Covid and tough border restrictions, and both said on the show they didn't want to do long distance, so I think it was always going to be inevitable, timing just happened to work out to be now. They've had to build a strong foundation for their relationships through communication, and I think they're both quite mature and from everything they said on the show and in interview, they're in it for the long haul and forever, so I do see it working.

Honestly I see them as no different really to Alisha and Glenn who moved in together after 4 months (though Covid and McGowan forced their hand) and now they're engaged! Or another comparison (maybe a little controversially) is Melissa and Bryce from MAFS, they moved in straight away and are now engaged with twins. So I do think it works. And with both couples, one made an interstate move though I am interested to see if Darvid will do anything with landscaping in Melb or maybe venture into something different, he does have a Bachelors Degree in Property something (I think that's what it says 😂).

Turns our matching fleecey jackets are from their few days post filming that they got to spend together 🤎 I assume the facetime photo is maybe when Darv was back in Brisbane and Brooke in Sydney waiting for her G2G to be approved?

I should clarify what I meant by my post. I totally agree couples should move in together asap to start their relationship outside of the show because the long distance is difficult.

My comment had to do with what the rush was to sell the business and whatever else he needed to do so quickly. I don't know how far he was moving and what the border restrictions were so maybe he wanted it all wrapped up before he left which is what I left out in my thought process.

For him to go through all that to be together is a huge commitment which I admire.

I look forward to more updates!

I curiously listened to SD this morning (skipped a lot of it), but apparently Alisha & Glenn were Brooke's preferred family/friends to be in the finale and meet Darvid & JL.

I do, apparently according to SD today, Glenn & Alisha were Brooke's preferred family/friends to be in the finale, but with border restrictions they couldn't come so she had Amy (amazing!) and Abbie.

WA is open to QLD'ers, so I think if they spend Christmas and a couple weeks in QLD, B&D could easily fly to WA and spend time with A&G in the New Year.

I have not been more excited about the potential double date and them spending time over the summer together!

It was so much more intimate and a moment just between he and Brooke. Gosh I'm all soppy for their love ❤
