Raven Gates - Bachelor 21 - *Sleuthing Spoilers*

I was simply responding to the comment that said,

JoJo was talked about because of her brother being the lead of another dating show and her appearance on said show, and then because of her being the spoiled F2 and generally well-liked. It wasn't her own actions or self-promotion that caused all the discussion and she certainly wasn't selling team shirts.

which wasn't the case for all the reasons I mentioned, not saying they were true, my point is she was talked about a lot and not just because of her brothers, or that she was well liked.

Lennoxcolinrolland wrote:Oh btw, I skimmed through a life and style mag two days ago (not reliable, but wouldn't be surprised if this is true), and it said that a frontrunner emerges early this season. Which is what I just finished saying up thread, and [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]'s point. They will IMO milk their F2 position for all they can, and TPTB with or without encouragement, takes the focus off the real F1. I recall JoJo posting SM letter found in the mail box by someone that said they loved JoJo and Ben, or posting her and Ben at the Cub's field. I dont' think she would do those things on her own, it's all encouraged or done for them IMHO. When the rumours were swirling about Caila, IIRC we didn't hear much from JoJo, was that on purpose, I think so.

Raven isn't so heartbroken that she's already posting on SM just like Robby did. We'll probably see a lot more from Raven before Jan 2 and beyond.

Robby Hayes - Chase McNary - "Rose" - Bachelorette 12 - Discussion - #3

My personal opinion of any copious amounts of SM with hashtags about #teamrobby or #teamrojo or #thegarden or whatever:

Perhaps as F2, Robby was encouraged by TPTB to keep the hope alive on SM to play mind games with the viewers.
Perhaps Robby and his large family were just trying to look on the bright side, have fun with this experience, and embraced it as a way to get over Jojo.
Perhaps Robby and his fellow cast mates got along well and enjoyed one another's company, and perhaps interacting with them on SM post-filming was a way in which Robby could feel their love and support and show them support as well.
Perhaps as F2, Robby thought Let's make lemonade out of these lemons and he accepted offers that came his way as a result of this show.
Perhaps Robby used hashtags as a shout-out thank you to his online fans and supporters.
Perhaps Robby is just naturally a gregarious, social, positive person who happens to use SM a lot.
Perhaps we over analyze things way too much and project things onto these people based upon our own biases.
I say:  Different strokes for different folks.

As for whether or not Robby is bitter or jealous about Nick as the lead:

There are many, many times in your life in which you will strive to achieve some goal but fall short.  Often in those times, there is another person who achieves that goal instead of you or who gets chosen for "the job" over you. That's what happens in life, in athletic competitions, in hiring for a postition. etc  While there is always a certain amount of disappointment when you fall short or fail at something, I wouldn't say that being bitter or jealous of the other person is necessarily a common reaction of people, in general.

Think about all the times that you don't get what you want.  Are you bitter or jealous about those things? IDK, but in my lifetime of many decades, I'm hard pressed to come up with even a few times that I felt bitter or jealous of anyone that got something that I had wanted for myself or for a friend of mine. Bitterness and jealousy just aren't emotions that I embrace, and I would venture to say that there are other people who don't think that way, including Robby. IMO

IMO, Robby truly did fall in love with Jojo (even if we want to call that bubble love), and he really did want to end up with Jojo at the end. That was a goal he was hoping to achieve. Instead, Jordan was chosen as the F1 and got the girl.  To me, if ever there were a time when Robby would be tempted to be bitter or jealous about anything, THAT would have been the time. Yet, what did we see from Robby post-show? We saw a guy who stayed in contact with Jordan, his roommate and buddy from the show.  We saw a guy who handled himself as a pure gentleman at the FRC and ATFR. We saw him respect Jojo's choice and wish her and Jordan nothing but happiness. I saw zero bitterness and jealousy from Robby about the one thing that he really wanted but didn't get. I, therefore, judge him to be the non-bitter and non-jealous type. JMHOAA.

For a season that might have had its lulls, this was certainly a finale to remember. I found myself very emotionally invested by the time the episode came to a close and was almost embarrassingly moved by that proposal. Then I found myself hyper-analyzing JoJo and Jordan’s After The Final Rose happiness levels and body language to decipher if they are indeed all good because I, too, saw all those gossip mags on my frequent jaunts to Duane Reade [America’s Shoppers Drug Mart equivalent]. But I’m getting ahead of myself.

First, the highlight of the actual finale episode was without a doubt JoJo’s family. I loved her mother’s real deal, uncensored take on things and how the whole family being there brought out a side of JoJo we hadn’t seen all season. She was raw and not necessarily on her best behaviour; there was a moment where she sort of snapped at her mom, and it was so daughter-like, real, and and relatable. Her descriptions of her fears with each path seemed better articulated and thus more understandable when she was laying it out for her family. Even her infamous brothers seemed to have been able to fend off any producer nudging to act up as they were completely drama free. They were also quite perceptive, like when her brother Ben pointed out how, when the whole family seemed to be #TeamRobby, JoJo jumped to Jordan’s defense. Yup, I loved JoJo’s family.

I think this was the first episode where JoJo expressed what seemed to be the most powerful factor in her relationship with Robby: how adored she felt. Her words: “I don’t know if I’ve ever felt so cherished by somebody.” It’s easy to criticize that as simple frivolity, but as a woman I could appreciate that statement deeply. How many of us have stayed in relationships far longer than we should have (with no filming deadlines, of course) because we were afraid of never finding the same level of love and adoration elsewhere? Being cherished on its own isn’t enough for a healthy relationship, of course, but it is a very difficult thing to shun. Watching that factor alone—JoJo recognizing that adoration, appreciating, reciprocating, and ultimately rejecting it—was fascinating. Television sped the process up and forced an outcome sooner than later, so it was like a fast-forwarded social experiment. Yay, reality TV!

As for the happy couple, honestly I really love them together. A lot. During the episode, I appreciated Jordan’s off-the-beaten path hesitation leading up to the final day and how, in his overcoming that and taking that “leap of faith,” he had his own mini story arc. His proposal speech was loaded with that specificity I’m always harping about, and I think anyone who doubted him or them together had their foots in their mouths watching that tearjerker of a proposal. On After The Final Rose, I couldn’t help but notice JoJo seemed a tinge somber, but then again, Chris Harrison was insistent on grilling them almost exclusively about negative topics. She had a visible repulsion to discussing Aaron Rodgers and the “family feud” (which is more than understandable) but lit up when discussing the future. That inability to slap on a smile regardless was one of the many reasons I loved JoJo at the helm. As Bachelorette, she was reasonable and thus relatable, unpredictable (I think she sent home more guys on dates than anyone ever?) and emotional and thus entertaining, and above all, almost painfully transparent and thus very real. I applaud her and know I’m not alone in wishing the happy couple heartfelt congratulations!

Robby Hayes - Bachelorette 12 - **Sleuthing - Spoilers** #2

A bunch of my hometown friends have sent me this print a clothing company from Jacksonville put together to not only support my journey on The Bachelorette, but also to support an even greater cause. I contacted the company to let them know I would support the shirt if they would help support a cause. A cause that needs immediate action and strikes close to the heart as a Florida native. So, the profits of each sale will be donated to #OneOrlando to help the Pulse tragedy victims and their families. Being a frequent Orlando visitor myself, it's gratifying to see them send some needed assistance. None of the spoiled f4 guys seem heartbroken based on their sm.. Maybe they all got over the bubble love quickly. Robby's excitement is on a whole different level, that gives me pause he may be f1...

But that's the thing, he's not #teamrobby at all, he's always #teamrojo and she's featured prominently in all his sm. It's jarring for a f2 almost.

Grace, sure!! Post a list of reasons he's not f1. I need someone to bring me back down to earth from my wishful thinking of a foiler.

Do you mean #teamrojo ? I don't know if it's anything, but he hasn't used that since June 10th. I think he is acting like Becca and Nick did.
