I'm going to do this live recap all in one post so I don't clog up the entire thread. Twenty seconds in and we have our first pensive rock sit near a body of water! And Osher's hair looks as glorious as ever.

Intro vids are: Nina (who I have already forgotten any information about, 5 seconds after her intro video), Sarah (who immediately stands out and has a long intro video, I think she'll go far - possible top 4?), Sandra (who looks like she'll be someone who rubs people the wrong way and create drama), and Heather, who immediately wins my heart by referring to Sam as "Bachie" [You must be [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] and [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] to see this image.] (Like Sarah, has a long intro video compared to Nina and Sandra's which were quite brief) Only 4 girls that get videos, so I'd guess that 3 of them are major players that go far, and Sandra will be the "villain" who lasts a few episodes. I still think F1 is Lana, who must come in later.

Sam reminds me a bit of Tim, he seems very genuine and sweet. First out of the limo is Snezana (pronounced Sche-jana), and cue the romantic, orchestral music! And he seems very into her already. You can tell who's going to go far and who isn't by the entrances - they just flew through a bunch of girls so rapidly that I have no idea who they are.

Other memorable limo exits: A British vet who from now on I will refer to as Dr Anal Glands because of the, uh, interesting animal story she told Sam right out of the limo (also because I cannot remember her name [You must be [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] and [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] to see this image.] ), Heather (cue the romantic music again!), who keeps calling him "dude" and a "mate she can have a beer with", Jacinda, who reminds me a bit of Kaitlyn on Chris' first night; very bubbly and funny, and she brought a polaroid camera with her and took a picture of his "anal glands" for all the girls [You must be [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] and [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] to see this image.], Zilda (aka Stifler's Mom), who is proving that God gave out brains alphabetically and whose chest I cannot stop looking at because it is even larger than Lacy's, Sandra who is kind of like that unmarried aunt who drinks too much vodka at Christmas and embarrasses everybody, and Emily who is the last one out of the limo, who also gets the romantic violins and who Sam seems to be losing his words over.

The White Rose is back, and this time it means that whoever gets it gets to take Sam on a date at anytime during the show (imagine getting sent home before you get to use it!), and the strategic element to me is kind of crazy and Bachelor Pad-esque.

Sandra is being a bit of a {#}DirtyStreetPie{/#} and causing a lot of drama, going around talking about girls behind their backs (already! You met them 10 minutes ago!), and being rude to Reshael for actually being a mature adult and not wanting to partake in the b**** session. Pretty much all the girls side with Reshael and are put off by Sandra, who is such a piece of work that she's making me look back on Canadian Horse Girl fondly.

Also, {#}TheBachelorAU{/#} is currently the {#}1{/#} trending topic worldwide, so it's definitely retained its popularity from last year.

Sarah is teaching Sam yoga poses [You must be [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] and [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] to see this image.] He's talking about how he likes how she doesn't take herself too seriously - they're kind of reminding me of Art and Matilda! And like Matilda, Sarah gets the First Impression Rose. Some random girl does a Reverse Tara - she arrives in a cocktail dress, and then gets changed into jeans and a flannel shirt.

Sandra is telling Sam how she's "timid when it comes to guys", which is kind of like saying Hitler is "timid when it comes to genocide".

It's White Rose (which is spoken of with such flair and prestige that it is worthy of having Every Word Capitalised) time, and it goes to... Heather! I really like her, and they seem to have good chemistry and their conversation flowed really easily.

The music they use in the rose ceremony is absolutely hilarious, it sounds like Sam is about to announce to the girls that whoever doesn't get a rose will be taken around the back and executed. And they just showed a short promo ad for the Bachelorette (no footage from the season yet, just her in a red dress) and Sam F looks incredible.
Stifler's Mom is eliminated alongside some girl who I literally had never seen until the moment she was sent home. For some inexplicable reason, Sandra, Dr Anal Glands and Reverse Tara live on! Naturally, Sandra gets the last rose, for Maximum Drama.

Though I didn't want her to do it, I think the TV channel will get a ratings high from this. She did win the court of public opinion in the Blake saga & it seems a lot of folks are rooting for her to find love.

I really wish Sam had met a great guy like Lisa, Blake's F2 did outside the show & was actually hoping Laurina #dirtystreetpie would be the bachelorette, that would have been one hilarious season

And yes I like Chrystal too, she reminds me of Laurina (#dirtystreetpie) from BACH AU Season 2, they are just hilarious & annoying on the show but they speak the truth

For me the Alysha portrayed on the show does not match the type of person that Art has said in post show interviews that he is looking for. Art seems very off & a completely different person around her IMO. The icing on the cake is the news about the ex. Personally I wouldn't go on a dating show if I was still legally married & not declare it upfront to the producers but to each their own.

Kapiti: I feel like a LOT of this season is similar to TBAUS. #Eeek. Not the lead though! Thankfully!

Art is miles away (thus far) from any other lead. Hopefully he starts making SOME moves. He is soooo shy which is crazy given how successful he is and that body (see my Avatar? Hehe more pics in s/cap thread). It is actually strange how genuinely humble he is. He really has no clue of his own worth (makes him even more attractive!). The fact that Art and Tim follow each other on SM bodes well (ol' Bachie Blake never got the Tim approval and didn't deserve it).

Matilda comes across as a more sophisticated Sam, but still down to earth and even said "yaaay" when she got the rose (like Sam did) this episode. He still seems taken with her (the way he said her name when giving her the rose). She definitely made a good impression night 1 (posted S/caps in her thread for those interested in seeing Art "thank God" literally). Interested to see how Art is with her on their upcoming date... bungee jumping! Ha.

I agree and definitely think Chrystal is like Laurina, except this time she may be the #dirtystreetpie since the lead is so great!

Amanda comes across like Lisa (F2). Just sweet and caring for all the girls.

Alysha is complicated. I don't know how I feel about her yet. She cried during this episode (it was shown in the first episode though... her clothes and earrings match). She was sobbing about how it may not be meant to be (her bio quote). She has a bit of a Louise edit as well. I don't know... cannot put my finger on it but something off about her. She looks different on the show than on her social media (she looks much younger on SM, like a kid). Still not getting why she didn't get an intro if she is F1. But maybe she isn't and an intern just followed her on IG since she tagged her pic with their hashtag? Art liking her posts though, especially the dog one?

Dani is a free spirit and I agree, I don't think Art is for her or she for him. Today, MediaWorks released statement about her DUI, etc. She should be fine since she disclosed all this prior to signing up. She still has dates with Art but from her SM, she definitely is NOT F1.

Kristie! Ugh, cannot stand the vibes I get off of her and her overly bleached hair (what is with all the bleached hair!).

Just hoping for a love story for Art and one that we can actually see onscreen! He seems like a truly great guy who deserves an equally great girl! One thing I will say is that it doesn't really seem like Art is chasing anyone so to speak. Not that he is a follower, but I think he was truthful when he was interviewed yesterday and said that he was totally out of his depth. He seems to be trying to make all the women feel comfortable rather than finding out whether there is one for HIM. Hoping that will change. *fingers crossed*
