Thanks all! The meeting was overall very good and a summer graduation is in sight. Oh and my boss who has spent only $2000 in reagents on my project over four years, agreed to spend at least that in the next three months to help me get finished. Perseverance pays off!

Still work to do, but I am very proud. This is my second time as a PhD candidate. I had to leave with an MS the first time to help take care of my parents, so it really is a long time coming.

For my American friends, this is the American Falls, thanks to a recent tweet. The buildings in the distance is Niagara Falls New York. The Canadian Horseshoe Falls is further to the right of your screen. I tried to look for a shot that shows the whole view. The second pic is not recent but gives a good shot at the location of the Falls. In the distance to the left you can see the Rainbow Bridge that connects Canada and USA. (Bars) US falls, then the Horseshoe falls.

And that's our geography lesson for today. Smiley

NJ is supposed to get 18 to 24 inches of snow, starting Monday night thru Wednesday morning, with blizzard conditions. hissyfit

Never liked winter that much, but the older I get, the more I hate it.

Yeah, I got home from work beat and decided I better run out to the ShopRite now realizing it would only be worse tomorrow. If I hadn't been to the grocery in almost 10 days I would have skipped it all together. Eh. At least it's over. I just hope we don't lose power. We have a mini generator thank goodness.
Stay safe and warm east coasters. Besides the blizz we are in for some prolonged bitter cold.

Did the Shop Rite run too. Just went five days ago and filled two carts but with an 18 and 20 year old and all their friends, the food disappears fast. Some of their friends are here so much, I ask my kids if their friends are homeless.
