I don't think I've seen so much fierce weather in my neck of the woods all in a short time frame in all my life. Prayers for Gatineau, Donrobin and the surrounding Ottawa area who are affected by this devastating tornado. So many people loosing everything they own in a matter of minutes. Sending prayers to all those affected by Mother Nature's Wrath, fires, flooding, hurricanes, typhoon's, and the list goes on, so sad.

The death toll is rising in California from the fires, and over 100 missing. Reading the updates breaks my heart. The pure horror of trying to evacuate between fire walls must have been terrifying.

Prayer's for all the firefighters volunteers and those opening up their homes and shelters for the animals. Bless them all for their kindness in giving and helping any way they can.

There were so many wonderful tributes on SM today but this one really made my heart melt. It's great to see people of all ages from all walks of life participate in remembering all those who lost their lives and fought for their countries.

@GuardianAngel We are about 150 miles from the Butte fire - southwest, almost on the coast. On Wednesday, it was sunny and I had the windows and doors open. By noon, I was smelling smoke and had to shut the windows. By 3 pm, it was eerily darker, enough to turn on the lights inside. On Friday, it was 17 degrees cooler than the day before - due to the heavy smoke cover blocking sunlight. The air was as bad as the Sonoma/Napa fires of last October. It reminds me of an eclipse when the temperature cools and the light is darkened. And the animals go crazy due to the dim light and cooler air!
