I too think Chris is the best fit for Des. They compliment eo so well, IMO. She even said it herself, that he is perfect for her in so many ways, and felt that she had known him for years. That is a soul-mate.

I also observed intws, CH`s blog and esp Des`s blog, which i had keeping score of. You surely wouldnt talk about your fiancea as being red flags, led you on and not being honest with you in a well known media as People.com.

IMO the only thing which doesnt add up is only the `confirmed spoilers`. It seems to me this season= the spoilers vs edit/VO-PI/SCs/Storyline/Postshow`s evidences (tweets, IG, blogs, intvws). Handsdown, its downward weird!

No wonder, Fleiss chose Matt White`s Love and Affection as theme song for Chris-Des love story, of which the reff is : IT IS JUST YOU AND I AGAINST THE WORLD (OF SPOILERS)...LOL

In episode #8, post-hometowns, Desiree met with her brother. She told him... on screen of course... that Chris will make a good husband and father. She also said she was enjoying being "in the moment" with Brooks. "In the moment" does not mean longterm.

I didn't know JBF was male, sorry. But...being female or not, and I am... look at the whole picture. RS is hanging on to his spoiler, so are 3 or 4 people on the board and there are new ones out there, but look at everything else. Blogs are written after the fact, interviews are done after the fact, tweets are written and published after the fact, promos are done after the fact. Taking our "Chris love" out of the picture, what do they tell us?

Fact: We've now heard Des say "I want to give him the world" about Drew. Drew is never shown in a limo (or a suit, right?). We've seen him upset, verbalizing the words "it would never work", "I just don't get it", her hugging him - her crying - all in close up. We've seen Des in h/s shot in the outfit she's never before worn in the show itself (but many times in the promo, always as if she says it to him), kind of peeking out and saying who knows what before we see her say "100% for you". ABC TPTB have been tricky here, sometimes having her say only part of it - and sometimes a little added. But...it is always in a close up before we see a close up of a reacting Drew, plus the hug with him (seemingly where they are both upset) is in that outfit.
Fact: ABC left out the obvious "I've missed you" in her FD greeting with Drew. He didn't say it specifically either.

Fact: Brooks' being shown in a limo has already been done, we have not been shown him again in one. We know there's been a breakup.
We didn't see him with luggage or at an airport. By what he's said (his ITM after the breakup dumpster fire) and by what Chris H. has strongly hinted in the swirl of TV appearance/ interviews he has done the door is open for him to "come back". We haven't been given any glimpse of him doing that in the show previews.

Fact: Besides the obvious "I want to go home" and "for me it's over" and the continued crying, we see Des (in the latest sneak peek clip on ABC site), deliberating by herself (in a V0 - which can be recorded anytime), whether she can go on with the expectation of "loving them as much" to the remaining men, Chris and Drew. She doesn't see that she can.

Fact: We've seen Chris in two different suits than any other time yet shown in the show itself. (in one right after close up Des breaks down and gulps, "I'm sorry" while in her tropical orange long dress she had on in the recent promo. He looks concerned. The other time we see him in a suit is in a limo, rubbing his eyes with both hands and a voiceover of him or him really saying - can't remember which - "Oh, man".) We see a closeup of him in a blue shirt looking down.

Fact: In several promos now we've seen the lower arm and full hand of a (at present anonymous) man in an suit holding what does not seem to be a classic Neil Lane engagement ring, but is a ring nonetheless.

Fact: Des' voiceovers and ITM and talk to his mother have continually been focusing on Chris' suitability of a husband and lifetime partner for her and father of her children and why. She has continually told him and the camera itself (some obviously not filmed at the time in the interaction she said them) things she finds attractive about him. Fact: Their physical attraction is obvious, they've discussed onscreen normal conversation of two people thinking about being married to each other sometime in future.

Fact: The consistent image in all the promos I've seen has been the shadow dancing pic of Chris and Des, always at the end or near the end. The next consistent image is the mountaintop pic with hands raised, always a closeup of her and Drew kissing. The consistent VO's attesting to love and being there for a lifetime with Des have been identified as from Chris.

Fact: There is no mountaintop picture shown in the earliest promo ABC released after the fact, but plenty of pictures of Brooks and Des - a scene of her offering him the first rose on their one-on-one date, some of Drew and her on the Barcelona Date, a few of them in Germany - most of them kissing, the ending ones are of Chris and Des and their adventures in Munich, a closeup shot of the guys walking with Chris featured, the last kiss scene is of Des and Chris kissing/dancing in Munich, quickly replaced with one of Brooks and Des kissing in the wedding dress , a few of Des alone and ends with the shadow dancing image then Des again. This is the one with the song "Yes to Love" running through it and was published on YouTube May 9, 2013 (and included below).

Fact: Chris has had all the one-on-one beach/ocean/boat alone dates that we were shown (She and Brooks' were going to a private island, but never made it there on Episode 10 - who knows what Finale 2 will show?).
Three times we've seen her draw a heart on something she gave him/did with him: her postcard on which she wrote the poem, "heart" Des, the hometown date (which we hear her/see her? - not sure which - say in the FD episode confirmed her feelings for him. Point brought out by JBF - post linked below - Chris H. mentions in his last blog hometown dates being pivotal and that Finale 2 will explain why), where they put hearts on the eye black, on the beach in the FD. (My opinion - she was really falling for Bryden though she made it a point to verbalize something like the "other guys that I am really falling for" when he said goodbye to her, 'cause she did the same thing in the sand. His date was shown in the ABC first promo (I included below), because it was the only one that seemed showed a real connection - other than that with Brooks', Chris' and Drew. I believe she was also falling for James, but their alone time was short and marred with "his confession" to her or their discussions of his possibly not being there for the right reasons.)

Facts about Chris:

Fact: On FD she told him she missed him (Of course she told Brooks that, too, before the shown breakup). She met him at the Jeep. Drew had to go get her out of the hotel.

He was shown with her just them in a hot tub/private pool. We also saw her in a pool or hot tub with Bryden and we hear from her in a blog about a steamy session with Brooks, and there is a kiss shown with Juan Pablo in a promo that I think is in a hot tub, after the Mr. America Date.

He is the only one she kissed in a helicopter. James and she had company, and they aren't shown kissing in their helicopter.

He is the only one that made it to a private island (that we have been shown so far).

He is the only one to whom it has been shown that she gives gifts. (I don't count the list she showed to Brooks).

He is the only one for whom she wrote a poem (that we have been shown). (She wrote one for Sean in a deleted scene shown. She has stated she would have said "yes", had Sean proposed. We know from her latest blog that she passed notes to Brooks. She doesn't mention them including "poems".)

He is the only one she told that she wanted him to meet her family (before hometowns).
She told Brooks she had wanted him to meet her family after he told her he wasn't madly in love with her.

On the FD Des tells Chris the rooftop was her favorite part of the dodgeball date, he references it in his second poem, she draws a picture of it to show him on hometowns.

Her Instagram with the heart necklace after the fact used words "heart wide open". His poem in Madeira to her used the phrase "hearts open" more than once. He references in the poem that "our hearts are open" are words expressed by her.

Except for once that I can remember with Drew, she talks in the midst of kissing with Chris several times. With Chris she does the "girly squeal' when talking to him, "whisper" talks with him, giggles when with him, buries her head in his chest in Madeira, they each touch each other's lips while dancing in Munich and on the FD they touch each other's noses.

Other than those with James and Brooks, Chris is the only one that had a date where they danced. Note: Interesting - that is the only dance shown in every season promo published, which I will remind you were done after the fact.

She told him early about her boyfriend experience, on the Munich date. She only told Drew that on the FD. She was never shown telling that to anyone else.

thats why early on the season, eversince Epis.3., amidst the spoilers, i believe a mesnick happened somewhere down the road in the end, since i am convinced Chris is the F1, from the facts i gathered myself.

Something VERY different than past seasons happens on Monday... but I am letting you folks speculate on that one. As Desiree says, it is a "true portrayal that love is unpredictable".



Note too the key word "rollercoaster" in this interview.

Brooks (episode #2): "This is an emotional rollercoaster for me. It’s difficult to throw that all on the table and say, hey… I’m gonna really expose myself at the chance."

Mike G. also mentioned it in Madeira (episode #7): "This has been such a rollercoaster ride. Just like when you are falling in love, sometimes there are things that are just out of your control."

In Atlantic City (episode #4), James discusses the real thing: "This rollercoaster used to be a sign of joy but it is sitting in the water destroyed. It’s an eerie feeling, but there’s an American flag at the top of this rollercoaster that I feel, like, that’s just a sign of hope."

NONE of this makes sense to us NOW, but I have the feeling SOME of it will later.

Back in episode #2, she said "What Brooks went through in his past relationship is similar to what I went through. It was nice to hear that from a guy. It shows that when he falls in love he falls in love and he gives it his all, which is such a great quality. It’s a quality I’m looking for in a man."

She also told Brooks to his face that when each suffers heartbreak, "Then it means I wasn’t meant to be with that person." (She also told Brooks "you have to go through the hard stuff to get to where you need to be.")

Nate used the same words regarding Sean "It is not meant to be" and repeated the lines TWICE in episode #8.

You know something else wacky about all of this? Mike's mother told him the same thing on the phone while he was limo-ing out of Madeira! The editors are milking this all the way to the bank.

Also in Atlantic City, James (of all people!) told Des in a bar that a man can't really love somebody until he suffers heartbreak. Mighty curious who this line is intended for... Brooks? Chris? Even Mike? Actually the only one with THAT strong of an involvement with James and all of his Munich/Barcelona drama was tattletale Drew. Drew said in episode #1, on account of his troubled upbringing with dad and sis included, "I haven’t had a lot of time to focus on love but I’m ready."

*cough cough* storyboard... storyboard...

When I watched the dumpster fire, it still looked like Brooks was more upset by the breakup than she was. I am not 100% sold that she thought he was "the one" for her any more than Ali was with Frank or Ashley with Bentley, but she was still banking on him sticking around and enjoying "being in the moment" as she described their relationship to Nate. Also, by season's end, she will likely be saying she "loves" three guys... Drew included. Only one, however, will have the love "that will last", so to speak.

If F1, I don't think Chris is as upset by any ILY on screen since he probably knows how it all unfolded. He has repeated episode after episode that what he has with her is different than the rest of the guys. In Munich: "I am slowly but certainly falling in love with Des and I think it’s mutual. She doesn’t have to say it. She can say it through her kisses. She can say it through her eyes. I know it is happening. This is real and this is happening." In Madeira: "Being in love is like… huh… it’s just exciting, like… knowing exactly what the other person is thinking without them having to say it to you." I'll let others add to this.

That was a first for this show, I think. I don't recall any past Bachelorette telling a mother: "He really has ALL of the qualities… and the LASTING qualities, I think… that I really want in a husband and a father of my children." She also used "husband" and "father" with Chris talking to her brother later.

I re-watched his date in Madeira again. As he discusses the "possibility of a new life" with her, the camera pans on little white flowers (which some think is the European/north African version of "baby's breath") "budding" out. In the evening portion, they are determining just how many "lives" they will be creating. That is, if they haven't already... I don't know anymore WHAT to think. Has Des been sporting a "glow" lately? When on the Madeira yacht, she is "picturing what our future will be together" as she is down to her bikini and he in his short shorts.

Before meeting Brooks for The Dumpster Drama, she even pulls her shorts over her bikini bottom as she discusses Chris and "the little things that he does that shows who he is..."

I choked on my drink over that scene.

Time to re-post my homage to Chuck Jones' BOYHOOD DAZE...

Mimi what a great recap of the season with Des and Chris. I have not given up hope that it is Chris in the end but am holding my breath. I am waiting to see if Chris gives her that necklace with the open heart on it during their LCD date and if he does then I will know it is him. I just want him to be happy and if that is what makes him happy I want it too happen. RS is still standing firm on that she is engaged to Brooks but it ain't over til the fat lady sings!

I can see her being distraught with Brooks leaving...no one wants to be told I am not in love with you.

But, I keep going back to Chris' and Des' conversation during their FD and also the picture of her standing between his legs on their LCD (see cap in banner above).   

So while I am a Chres fan, if Chris is not F1, I really hope he is happy.

To go against all the spoilers at this point, you have to believe this is an elaborate plot to foil RS. So what are the clues that MF even cares about that? Nate, MF saying Des is his favorite Bachelorette, Des herself likes pranks and would be game. But still, it would be quite the feat to pull off, don't you think? Was there a fake picture released? A fake proposal scene? Did things change after the fact? What's everyone theory on ignoring the spoilers, because I have ignored them before to no avail.
