I brought your previous post over when the wedding band was noticed, to refresh our memory.

It sounds to me that perhaps they kept everything very tight lipped and did in fact have a private destination wedding. Maybe TPTB filmed the wedding and will air it during a BIP special.

But, if that's the case, are they suppose to keep it quiet until then?? no idea

I think so. They have couples who want to break up wait until the "right" timing so why not a small wedding? no no

I'm hoping TPTB did not film it, but since they would own the rights to any video, would simply take snippets to show for the BIP premier.

That's exactly what I meant, but didn't express properly. I hope whoever has the magazine rights can have a nice spread before hand? or do they have to wait till the airing I wonder? I would imagine they will be airing something since they are the first BIP couple to get married.

I think any mag pics would have to wait until airing or network announcement of wedding otherwise that would one up the surprise.
And so--if Wetpaint and/or The Inquisitor is reading, you saw it here first. I don't think RS has any speculation regarding this.

I'm assuming that they "they" is the show which really makes the gears turn in my imagination.

I've long felt that while I appreciate the complexities of scheduling air time, the show really jerks a couple around on "TV weddings" (Sean and Catherine said "Soon" so many times many thought they'd never get married) and that sooner or later a couple was just going to tell them "We're getting married on Tuesday xx/yy/2015. You have the rights to film it so either be there or miss it - we don't really care one way or the other." From chloep's comments over time this couple seems to have come the closest to that mentality.

Maybe we have a new "*-gate" to add to the list - fridge-gate, plane-gate, snapchat-gate and now ring-gate???

Lacy snapchatted a video last night and I couldnt get a proper screenshot but you could clearly see the band on her hand in that too.

Trista & Ryan's wedding was a block-buster in terms of viewers but since then weddings haven't been all that watched (as I best can remember viewership numbers anyway) and it doesn't seem to make much difference whether it's a popular couple or not - the viewers just don't tune in with the same numbers as they do for a regular season show.

It seems probable to me that a "TV Wedding" from this franchise isn't what it used to be and may never be that way again - it may always be a special segment aired as part of a regularly scheduled show. I think snippets shown as a lead in to the BIP premier is a very plausible way of using wedding footage.

The thing is, ratings are way down from 10 years ago. None of the big 4 shows are getting 20 mil in viewership -most are threading in 9 millions and below (including all the franchise shows). Also, TV weddings are much cheaper to produce since most stuff are sponsored hopefully we see their wedding.
