Nick has never done this, even with past seasons so I don't see him doing it now nor do I think he should. He's never blamed edit nor credited edit and it's absolute nonsense what Amanda is saying, imo, since she is omitting the truth herself by not stating that she conveniently only accepted Nick's rose because she was waiting for Josh to get there. Amanda's playing the victim, imo, and using edit and Nick as her scapegoat. If Amanda was honest she would say "I was on the show for Josh. Nick was on the show for Jen. We did what we did so we could each stay there long enough for the people we wanted to date to enter the show". Anything other than that is NOT the truth at all, imo, and Amanda is the one who is perpetuating a fallacy with her blog, not Nick.

There's nothing for Nick to clear up, imo. He respects the show enough to let the show be the show without having to blog a false one-sided narrative as if it is the full truth. Let people watch and come to their own conclusions. Anything else is nothing more than a pretense in thinking these people are people one knows, which isn't the case, and I fully respect Nick for never trying to do that. Amanda I have no respect for since she used her blog to perpetuate a lie, imo, in implying that she was on the show for Nick and he just didn't want her so poor Amanda had to go with Josh. Yeah right. Amanda's so fake, imo.

Beyond all that, Nick has already, IMO, paid a price for spoiling the show. Why would he chance doing that again, knowing that it might impact his edit and give TPTB the ability to manipulate him a second time. I always figured that the letter and his showing up at Andi's MTA were forced upon him by the TPTB as a result of the Plane Video. Once Stung, Twice Shy, I say.

Just to add: I don't see Nick clearing anything up because that would mean he would have to call out Amanda on her lie in her blog, imo, that she was on the show for Nick and he turned her down so she went with Josh.

It's why Amanda is being conniving and manipulative, imo, to say "I had such a BIG crush on Nick but he wanted Jen so I had no choice but to go with Josh" (paraphrasing).

How anyone buys that BS that Amanda not being on the show for Josh is beyond me. It's why Amanda's blog has proven to me that she is calculating and playing the victim while pretending she is just this poor girl who was a victim to Nick (and the edit) so had no choice but to go with Josh (yeah right).

IMO, Amanda's blog may have revealed to Nick just how manipulative/woe-is-me Amanda is (or has become based on who she is with) and no wonder she wanted to be with Josh. If anything, I think Nick probably feels sorry for her.

I don't think Nick needs to clear any air. All 3 are adults going on the show 2nd/3rd time, knowing fully well the show is very edited. It might be different, if Josh took a different approach, owned up to his own actions, and didn't act like such a jerk after the show, but he's acting like he is, so why should Nick step up to do anything?

It's not even a big thing, Amanda/Nick went on one date, that's it. They weren't even dating. No hearts were broken, no one 'stole' a girl. There's no need for lengthy explanations from any of them. IMO.

I think it's ok for Amanda to blog what she wants.
Obviously she didn't come on the show just to meet Nick. If that was the case, she wouldn't have accepted his rose after him telling her he was wanting to meet Jen. IMO Amanda said yes so she could stick around and go on future dates with someone else. Also, it sounds like she was more interested in Nick than he was her and that the date just confirmed for him that she was a good person but not for him.

I'm not sure what Amanada's motive was for bringing Jen into the public eye but I think the consequence is that Jen is now known to be Nick's #1 pick on his wishlist (he mentioned Jubilee as someone he was interested in when a group of guys were chatting but then she asked out Jared) so that has the sweetness of confirmation for Jen that even though Nick accepted dates with both Leah and Amanda, dating others paled to his anticipation of her arrival.

I don't think Nick needs to set anything straight either. He's already made it perfectly clear that he has not hard feelings towards Amanda and that he's rooting for her happiness. They even showed him say that he doesn't really give a crap, even if Josh seems to think he does. What more needs to be said? I get that suddenly being on the receiving end of SM hate can make you feel the need to defend yourself, but these are all adults who've signed contracts saying they can be shown in any light the editors see fit. They know plenty of things get left out and things aren't always as they seem on screen. It is not Nick's responsibility to spoil the edited storyline in order to defend Amanda. He's got nothing to do with the edit and he hasn't said a bad word about her. I doubt he wants to be portrayed as the perpetual "loser" either (which is something he knew was coming during filming already, since they showed him mention it), but he knows what he signed up for. Props to him for rolling with the punches instead throwing hissy fits all over the place.

There is no reason for anyone to blogging anything in regard to someone not shown on this show yet. That is a spoiler. That totally breaks any kind of confidentiality whether in a contractual clause or not.
What these people don't seem to realize is online editing could still continue, should TPTB choose to go that route. Because you are already unhappy with your edit does not rule out that it could get worse.
Don't freaking push your limits, bite the hand etc. It's plain stupid, IMO.

Yes @kashathediva I completely agree. Its always been my assumption that it was against the rules for them to speak out on what 'really happened'. I remember Sharleen had a blog post up where she asked Olivia about the edit regarding her conversation with Ben after a family friend had passed away. It was editted to seem like she didnt even care about him grieving and just wanted to talk about her toes and insecurities when that wasnt the case. It also showed her getting the last rose when she said she was actually 4th that night. They made Sharleen take the post down because she wasnt allowed to reveal that. And tbh, the few people that would read his post wouldn't change the mind of the millions that took what they saw on tv as what happened. Thats the price you pay when you go on this show and they know that.

Reading Nick's tweets and saw this. Sorry if it was already posted, but does it suffice as saying something (showing support) without blatantly spoiling the show (which they most likely signed a contract not to)?

Great conversation all! I truely don't think that Nick owes Amanda or anyone anything. I just think that since Amanda has already spilled the beans, I would love to hear Nick's interpretation of the story. By omitting information or holding back for the sake of the storyline, he is (in his own words), not being 100% truthful. This was his assessment of Andi's book. His honesty standards. Not mine.

Amanda possibly breaking her contract and spilling the beans doesn't mean Nick has to. Why would he? He seems to have a good thing going with TPBP, and that only benefits him, why should he do something that could potentially sabotage it? For Amanda? She'd throw him utb in a heartbeat if it would help her/Josh out. Jmo.
