@notarose I sent the link to one of my sons who is married to his work and just can't summon the energy to pursue dating in this environment. The discussion on how social media emphasizes the pursuit of perfection in everything is a turn off to him. He is very smart and very successful and has lots of interests. He has been a very good bf in the past. Just too involved with his career to play the dm and who texts back first type of games.

I really like The Great Love Debate podcasts. Your son might find a few epis of interest. Basically they travel across the country sometimes and over many years have found that dating sucks in many parts of the country. It seems to be a Millennial thing where people may have ideas about what they want but not enough to have figured out how to go about it to create a large enough dating pool so genuine daters encounter a fair number who just like DMing to feed their egos. The podcasts also give some good tips. Yep, they found that there are many indecisive or noncommittal males and females so like the guys said on the I Don’t Get It podcast, people who want to find others who are decisive in meeting for a first date have to wade through wishy washy peeps... like you said - who does what first and how quickly “gamers” - instead of those who just say yes let’s meet to figure out if there is potential instead of SM dragging out. Weird, isn’t it, that people feel need for some kind of perfection or checklist check off before meeting. Can’t see that being effective in terms of knowing without being face to face.
Obviously your son sounds like a catch who doesn’t appreciate having his time wasted with games. That can be disheartening and frustrating. Basically what both Nick and Jason were alluding to - finding people who are sincere in going on a date to see what happens instead of playing cat&mouse - is a challenge.

Nick is in Mexico for a wedding and is doing IG Story q&a’s. This pic is a friend from WI. Since 2 of Nick’s childhood friends got engaged, within the last 12 months, safe to assume the wedding is one of theirs.
Wondering if it is a weekday wedding or if a few of the guests are having an extended vacay.

I really like how THR and Extra reporters asked about , and therefore promoted, Bad Chiller.  After all this was a YouTube event and Bad Chiller has a home there so kudos to the women for making the transition.  Definitely agree with Nick that Dean as Colton is worth another season. Also, finally no one asked about his love life.
