Bachelor Australia Season 6 - Nick Cummins - SM Media #2 - *Sleuthing Spoilers*

I agree @stoneleigh - Nick's a smart guy IMO but the thing that gives me pause is the rebuttal from his manager/publicist.

He gave a vague statement about Nick often being stopped in the street by fans for selfies when it's pretty obvious IMO that no selfie is being taken in that clip and the vibe/body language is not a fan meeting a celebrity IMO.  

Presumably, when the video came out, Nick's manager would have asked him about it, so if it was completely innocent ("it was a waitress and he was escorting her to a cab") he would have said something more specific, KWIM?

My guess is that Nick probably hadn't watched the clip and had no idea what/how/when/who they were talking about so gave a dismissive answer. He doesn't stike me as someone who looks at a lot of social media. He posts stuff yes... but he doesn't seem to engage with others if you see what I mean?

I also think that the show's publicists are probably stoking the narrative a bit about Nick not choosing anyone. The more potential endings still in play, the better for them. I wouldn't be surprised if Nick has been told not to address the rumours.

He has said in 3 separate radio interviews that he's off the market, that he's very happy and that keeping the relationship secret has been hard.


I still think he and Britt are together.. with a small part of me thinking maybe Brooke snuck in there at the end and we will have a surprise F1.

You make a lot of sense, @stoneleigh, but I felt during pre-show sleuthing that something was off and I'm still just not getting a happy vibe from Nick.  My gut's saying he chose Britt and went on one or two SHVs but then split.

Meanwhile DM are doubling down on the split rumours using the word "confirmed" in this new article.

The sighting comes after Daily Mail Australia exclusively confirmed that Nick, 30, has already split from the show's winner.

Although they published one earlier today with a pic of Sophie eating a sausage roll wearing a ring as "proof" she wins so as per usual, the right hand doesn't seem to know what the left hand's doing over at the DM offices.

I really hate all these rumors about a split. I hope they are still together, or at least friends. I did not enjoy what Blake did to Sam F and I hope its nothing like that, and at the end of the day, if they have split they still have respect for each other and no bad words get thrown around(if you know what I mean)... jmo

Hey I'd be happy to be proven wrong!  If we end up with a happy couple at the end of this then great  That's just honestly not the vibe I get.  

Taking ourselves out of the equation, there's still quite a few sources suggesting the same thing.  I feel like there must be an element of truth to it all.

For those who were sleuthing during Blake's season, was there this same amount of chatter about him dumping Sam before the finale aired?

only joined for ritchies season but I remember someone saying it's similar with these rumors flying around to Blake's oh yeah Bobette don't get me wrong i believe they are no longer together as well but I hope its all BS....ahhhh finale can't come soon enough ;)

If I recall right, Blake was explicitly asked to do not make any interviews and he could not defend himself. Sam Diva Frost played the victim for so many weeks that she became national sweetheart... and we know she was never such thing.... Blake was a puppet but Sam was an opportunist.

I see no such thing in Britt with maybe using her fame to get som TV gigs which is not the end of the world and Nick is living on another planet...

I read Bernadette Facebook support for Brooke. She truly love this girl. But imo Brooke gave the message loud with “old friends”. Imo interview Laura/Matty) I think the potential interest just vanished in thin air. I agree with @bobette They probably see and consumed 1 or 2time and nick vanished and split for lack of interest from his part.

Some ex bachelorette dated him and said he was a bit loco about stars and souls... I try to remember who but forgot. Anyway... nick says he is happy but I do not recall him saying he is off the market? Can someone share this link please? Thanks

If I remember correctly No SM posts were made during the airing of Blake’s season. I watched the entire show with great interest and personally found Sam very likeable and a worthy winner. The first I heard of a split was when it was reported there would be no post show interview made by the couple. It was soon made known Blake had dumped Sam soon after the final rose ceremony for the F3 Louise. I do not recall Sam Frost playing the victim card. Blake’s actions spoke volumes and as a result he was universally disliked by Australians.

I liked Sam too.  I found her awkwardness and frank manner endearing.  

I didn't sleuth back then so just wondered if anything was picked up before it was announced.  I should probably check the archived threads.  I did find this article from the time, before Louise was confirmed as the "other woman" which makes it seem like it was kept under wraps until the last minute, although Sam was apparently flirting up a storm while out with friends.  That just made people think she didn't win though - there didn't seem to be the avalanche of split rumours we're seeing with Nick.

@Bobette off the topic of Nick, the producers would've had to have known about Sam and Blake's split, after all it happened pretty much straight away. Of course they kept it under wraps and it wasn't plastered all over the media. I do remember a report Sam was caught partying but I think I only read that after the split announcement was made. But I wasn't the slightest bit interested in knowing the winner or reading anything back then. I only got interested in Georgia Love's season. Nick's season doesn't interest me at all because he doesn't.
