Yes, and the recent development supports his view point about being engaged on the show.

And the timing is perfect with the N/V break up to announce that they have picked Peter. They have come to their senses that a forced/"it's in the contract proposal" is not the way to go. Maybe dating (after a 2.5 month romance/3 individual dates/dating other guys) is a better way to go than getting down on one knee.

So Peter's friend thinks Rachel is "low down" and is saying that Rachel only wanted a ring and has a phony engagement and not something "real" like she could have had with Peter? So Peter was the "real" and Bryan was the default? Ok got it.

Eh, he's just defending his friend and will keep that narrative going since I'm sure that's what Peter told him imo, what with Peter being so "real" and all.

I am also sure that if/when Peter gets "engaged" as the Bachelor after a few weeks on a tv show, his friend will be like, but it's all "real"

Ew, so gross. This is just why I can't get on the Peter train. I still think that he is so two-faced, pretending to be so gracious and kind to B/R in public, but liking shady posts and most likely sh*t-talking them to Dean and his other friends and family, given their seemingly OTT hatred of Rachel. People hate on Rachel and I don't agree with all of her decisions, but I never have to worry about her being fake. IMO.

A gentleman and an adult in the room. He didn't totally rule out being the lead.

All around he gave great answers. I appreciate his explanation as to how he was feeling sitting there with Rachel. He looked in shock.
