Re: Desiree & Chris Siegfried - Bachelorette 9 - Discussion
The dress is OK. I like the open back and lace but it might be overkill for me. They are affordable dresses. I've seen some hideous dresses on Say Yes To The Dress that are $$$$. It's all subjective, really.

I don't mind the flower crowns because I think it's something models would wear and not most real brides. Full disclosure - I had a smaller one with my veil attached on my wedding day which was a very long time ago.
I don't like all the dresses Des has designed but I think she has talent and I'm sure they're beautiful in person. I'm not a wedding dress person at all but have watched my fair share of Say Yes to the Dress & I found the Gown. Mostly I watch because I'm horrified by what people spend for a dress to wear for 1 day. Don't even get me started on weddings.
I hope Des & Chris get everything they want for their wedding even if they don't get a televised wedding. Shame on ABC for not doing it for them. I'd bazillion times rather watch them get married...

Is there anywhere I can see all the gowns in detail? From the pics I have seen, I think they look lovely. Just the kind of style I'd go for, though the lace looks a bit too shiny in some pics. Don't think it's very good quality. I'm going to a wedding next year and I know the bride is wearing a very beautiful vintage inspired Maggie Sottero dress.

Well, they(Maggie Sottero) are middle of the road as far as cost goes and one of the things(amongst others) that increases the cost is the material used, so I would imagine the lace is not as good quality as other more expensive gowns.
No good deed goes unpunished.
Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, bye Felicia!

I am simply happy for her. It is a HUGE leap to go from working at a wedding store to designing, making and showing your own wedding gowns on the runway...and all of these in less than two years. Dreams do come true, people!

There are lots from the runway shows in LA, NYC and Chicago on social media. These are from Maggie Sottero. Personally I really like two of them, but I think they're all pretty.
The line consists of 6 gowns, these 4 and her ceremony and reception gowns she designed for herself which will be added after the wedding.

I really thought Sean and Catherine's wedding was very beautiful and they both represented something that is not common in The Bachelor world and something that was talked about so much. As for Des, why she is no so much loved is, she appeared really desperate to get married, start on Sean's season they way she cried after he sent her home and she did the same with Brooke's, cried for hour and then turned around and got engaged to Chris, most people see that as classless and desperate and just maybe that is why ABC find her boring. This is just my opinion.

I think most of us would agree that Des is as classy and nice as they come.
If she was desperate for love, I don't think that's entirely a bad thing. Better than being desperate for fame and/or money. She found her love and walked away, I think that speaks to the kind of people they are. You can't help but root for them.

I am going to take the high road and not say what I really think about your fave Sean. For the record I do like Catherine.
As far as Des being classless and desperate, I totally disagree with you, and just because she cried a lot, doesn't make her desperate and classless, every body expresses their hurt differently. IMO, her crying was really not about the guy (Sean or Brooks), it was about her past experience for not getting loved back, heck, the girl cried for James, she had a hard time letting go of James or Ben. So, her love radar was really low that she didn't see what we saw, Brooks wasn't totally in, she missed all the signals, hence all the cries for being dumped on TV twice in a roll.
Just my observation that by the F3 time, they(bach/ettes) are very confused to who is the one, they have an idea who they think is the one, but until they sit down to make the last decision btwn F1 and F2 and compare who is the best match long term, they just don't know. So it is confusing when someone leaves at that stage, it changes the game for them making them wonder if may be they are the one, but they can't be the one, if they were they would stay to the end. What I saw while watching her season is that Chris is and was the one for her all along, she was drawn to him, but she had to come to a realization in the end, and it proves to be true, they re so in love and such a great match. Moving on from this topic...

Re: Desiree & Chris Siegfried - Bachelorette 9 - Discussion
IMO Chris/Des have accomplished so much in their professional lives, while maintaining a relationship of love and trust while being engaged, just as JP/Ashley, Trista/Ryan did. So whether their seasons were popular or not, it doesn't matter they are all in the same category, a wonderful life, some with beautiful children, good careers, good head on their shoulders, pleasant to their fans. That's more than we can ever expect out of this franchise.
I never see any snark from these two, only grateful and happiness for all that they have. They are excited to be planning their wedding, so whether it's televised or not, they don't seem to care. Just another example of their humbleness.

Amen to that GA! They are what you call the picture of humbleness. And, I love that they are living their life dream and grateful to have what they have, and never have anything bad to say about anyone, now that's unique. Des is really an example of what it means to work hard to get what you want. I am so happy for her to have found a man like Chris, a kind and gentle soul, like Des brother describe Des and Chris.

Re: Desiree & Chris Siegfried - Bachelorette 9 - Discussion
I'll take someone like Des who wears her heart on a sleeve and risks getting hurt over someone who's more controlled and comes across as unfeeling any day. I don't see Des as either classless or desperate in Sean's or her own season. She was one of my favorites that season and think it was really between her & Catherine for Sean even though she went out as f4. He did her a real favor by letting her go then even if she didn't know it at the time. I thought she was sweet in her season and very empathic which is what I'm always looking for in a lead.
If the show doesn't want to do their wedding which is what it's looking like, it's their (& our) loss. Des & Chris have done everything right in their relationship and it's too bad they've been treated this way.
