I don't know if this was mentioned before, but let's try a different scenario.

Suppose it's Nick who either walks out before the final RC, or just doesn't get on one knee.

He could do that in a way that redeems himself, and doesn't hurt or embarrass Andi, especially if she just accepted Josh's proposal. Producers could have whispered something into his ear, and he could walk off with his dignity still intact.

It's a lovely thought, mia, but in 20+ seasons, the producers have NEVER done anything kind for contestants which would also minimize shock and drama for the show, and I doubt they will start now. On the contrary, they most likely told Nick repeatedly that he had this in the bag. It's what they do.
