I would question if she is telling the truth on the time. I know where I live, at 6:00 a.m. it is still dark. The one exception might be this was taken in the summer rather than recently and just posted. She might be trying to mislead for some reason.

Sunrise 6:53am, you can see the sun starting to peak against the buildings. If it was a 6am flight, by the time they took off and up at that altitude, the sun could very well be starting to come up. IMO it's winter, I can see what appears to be snow covered roads. Current temp 0 degrees.

Does she normally travel for work?

Today's early flights from ORD click on time period 6- 9 am. Flight Departures ORD today

Sunrise was at 6:53 am so Whitney's picture was taken around or after this time.

If you look at the picture there is snow on the ground so it is recent.

There are three 6:29 am flights to Des Moines. Chris was in Arlington, IA watching TB with girls from his HS. So it is a possibility they could be meeting up in Iowa. Smiley

I'm no expert on this, but I thought I'd share my experience of flying in and out of O'Hare. I don't ever recall flying over Lake Michigan on a westbound flight. It's common to fly over the Lake on landing. I've been on that flight path a lot. Now if Whitney flew out of Midway, that's a whole other story. I have no experience there.

ETA: The weather (snow/clouds/sun) in Whitney's photo is totally consistent with today's weather/look.
