I don't know that he is doing anything because TPTB asked him to, regardless of who he is friends with from the production staff. Jason and his wife just always tweet about the show and they are very rarely kind to anyone on the show. I'm so not surprised he would share that info about Jade. Then again, it's already out on the internet for anyone to see anyway.

Just jumping in to concur with everyone re: TPTB definitely knowing exactly what they were doing when casting Jade and ensuring our fresh faced Nebraska girl got the Cinderella date. It's the 4th episode after all and isn't this just when little scandals start to happen to give a ratings boost and create social media buzz. Those earrings were excellent payment! Poor Soule sisters had to have been duped.

Jade got to keep the earrings and the Louboutins. The earrings were worth $100,000. This article says she had a million dollars worth of jewelry on during her Cinderella date. No wonder she had to leave promptly at midnight, her escort was probably an armed guard. laugh out loud

I'm skeptical. There are lots of aspiring playboy/actress types who would go on the show for no money...hoping for exposure. Why would they pay jade $100k? I really doubt she got to keep the earrings.

Other cast have been able to keep jewelry in the past. The article didn't say she kept all of the items, it specified what items she was gifted to keep. That is why I believe she was able to keep them.
Sheena was able to keep the necklace Brad gave her. I have forgotten the others that got keepsakes.

The implication was that she was told in advance she would get to keep $100,000 worth of earrings in order to induce her to sign up for the show. That is what I am skeptical about. She's just not that special.

But, $100,000? That's not right. They have to pay people to get on that show then. There's no way I would take someone getting paid that much money and air time and others get squat?

I do have a feeling there is more than one reason, between you and me.
I don't make the rules. I do know what has been done in the past. This would not be the first time a cast person has received jewelry as a gift from part of their date. There has been a few.

Whatever the value of the earrings, and I certainly don't think they were worth $100K, I'll bet they didn't cost ABC a cent. Surely they were given to ABC by Neil Lane, in exchange for publicity.

Doesn't matter if ABC got it for free. She can sell it for a lot of money. People mag was the one saying it's worth that.

I don't know why they'd bribe anyone to be on the show. She just happened to be the lucky one this season to get that date.

I made the mistake of reading RS' column to see the letters regarding Juelia and saw the photos from Jade's 'modelling'. Embarassed
