I think watching this show back probably made Ashley fall even more in love with him. He's so cute when he's looking at her. Aww!

ETA: About Ben not "knowing" and thinking he had it in the bag, I'm subscribing to Cali's theory- that he brought into the frat mentality of his bros telling him he had this one down.

Alanna, I didn't see Cali's theory, but your explanation sounds plausible. I wonder if it was a combination of the bros telling him and the producers. I have no doubt TPTB were working it for all they could too.

In one of the tweets she also said that she's #teamcupcake. All's definitely well that ends well. I'm sure Ash is very happy they're going to get along. He's the best for letting this all go so quickly.

Both Ashley and JP's faces are open books. Their feelings & hearts are shown on their faces. No wonder TPTB must have been pulling their hair out and just gave up and threw in the towel. No contest. TPTB can make them say certain things, do vo's, etc, but they can't edit out their facial expressions when they are together. No words are needed.

So many times what Ashley said about the other guys, never matched her face. When JP was worried, concerned, upset, he didn't need to say a word, we saw it. They both literally glow with love when they look at each other. Real love story.

I agree, Gina. We saw Ashley and JP exchange very special looks at cocktail parties, rose ceremonies, group dates, toasts etc. Those looks were not in private, but right out there in front of the other guys.

I'm sure if Ryan P. saw it very early on, so did a lot of other guys, including William who left fairly early on in the process.

What is confusing to me is the conversation with JP, Ben and Blake during Constantine's 1:1 date with Ash. They were talking about who had kissed her and Ben had teased JP saying he had. Ben could see that JP was falling for Ash at this point and acknowledged it. Knowing this, I would think Ben would be watching to see if Ash is reciprocating JP's feelings. It's not that I don't believe Ben, I just have a hard time comprehending he had no clue.

Many of us make this mistake of seeing only what we want to see (including Ashley with you-know-who) because our eyes are clouded by our feelings. Ben, hopefully, was able to see things more clearly after watching the connection between JP and Ashley since the show aired.
