I wanna answer the earthquake one.  We live 4 miles from the epicenter of the Northridge quake 6.7 or 6.9 depending on who you believe.  It was quite a ride.  It was a thrust quake and the bed rose up from the floor and crashed back down.  Hoping to not ever repeat that one.

I was visiting my mom in San Diego when the Northridge earthquake happened. We could feel it downstate as well. Funny, it was on her birthday (Jan. 17, 1994) and happened in the wee hours of the morning. It was my first earthquake experience, and when we had one here a while back I was sitting right where I am sitting now, in my office, banging on my computer. It was the weirdest sensation I have ever experienced.

Now, back to business. Lost track of where we are, so I'll just pose the next question.

It would be such fun to meet up for a long weekend. I did that with someone I met on the old mother board. We spent a long weekend in NYC doing all the tourist stuff and went to see "Billy Elliott." She and I had grown up within 10 miles of each other but she was a lot younger than me. It was one of the best times I ever had, although my friends told me I was "nuts" to go to NYC to meet a stranger.

That a would be fun meeting up someday! I think groups of strangers from clubs do that all the time. There are ways to make it safe.
