Bachelor In Paradise - Season 4 - General Discussion - *Sleuthing Spoilers*

The focus seems to be on Corinne. Innocent she isn't, but it takes two to tango, and Demario is as much to blame for this debacle as anyone else, and yet there is less mention of him. I wonder why? JMHO.

They've been saying that since this thing came to light. I for one don't believe anything coming from the production side for all the reasons @FieldofDreams mentioned. They will try to cover their asses because any wrongdoing could jeopardise the whole franchise. If this was just your usual drunken encounter, then why is Corinne's handler involved? If Amy Kaufman's tweets are to be believed, she didn't show up to work the next day, so seems like she took issue with what happened before Corinne herself even sobered up. And if the tapes show nothing suspicious, then why were the contestants held in lockdown for several days and the whole production thrown in the bin? They try to cover every scenario in the contracts, so something must've gone wrong IMO for them to halt things entirely. I don't know if we'll ever find out though. But like others have said, they deserve all the trouble and lost penny they get. Personal responsibility and all that, but it's become obvious in recent years that they cast people with drinking problems (Lace, Chad) and then keep serving them until they crap their pants. How is that even allowed? People already end up in hospital every season because of dehydration and whatnot. Does someone need to get their stomach pumped before they think again? I'm sure these people could manage drama without buckets of alcohol. JMO.

This is the first time I read that she was lucid, sorry I must have missed the others. I'm thinking that is part of trying to "cover their a$$'s". Maybe they are trying to take the approach if she was lucid, there was no reason for production to stop them.

This doesn't sound lucid to me:

After he finished – which only lasted a few seconds – he lifted her out of the water and laid her on the cement, where he proceeded to have oral sex with her.
‘She appeared to be unconscious,’ says the source. ‘At that point some of the crew came out and carried her off to her room. She was limp and seemed unable to walk on her own.'

‘Corrine is preparing to file a law suit because she feels she was not protected by the show’s producers. And she ended up flying home to Miami after she was examined and interviewed,’ says the source. 'She was totally distraught and even after being told what happened, she insisted she had no recollection of the events.
The crew stayed on until Monday, when they back to Los Angeles. The source says that everyone is under the impression that the show will be cancelled 'because the brand will be too tarnished to move forward'.

I think that story is why Raven and Derek said they were heartbroken. That's heartbreaking.

This just furthers my suspicion of who's trying to cover their butts. TMZ (and maybe others that I didn't see) reporting she was lucid, DM reporting a much different story.

So many accounts of what happened, it's getting sicker by the minute IMHO.

Check out Raven's likes on twitter. She was liking anti-Corrine and Demario tweets.

This makes me lose interest in the franchise. How anyone with any integrity and compassion could lie to the general public just to save a show when a horrific crime may have occurred is disgusting. The lowest of the low. IMO.

Yeah, should Corinne pursue a lawsuit, I wonder the extent to which production might use her past image on TB against her (if at all). The whole, even while (mostly) sober she is super sexual and flirty that it is hard to have known when it was crossing the line? Of course this would depend on whether she was, in fact, lucid...or unconscious and barely able to stand up.
