I don't see anything wrong either. He clarified what appears to be what the tabloids are reporting which is false information and making it sound like Lauren cleaned him out, where as in fact, she even purchased some replacement furniture for him.

It sounds like they have been leveled headed and mature about the whole situation.

JMO, I actually think both Lauren and Ben have been very well behaved post breakup. They are moving on and being pretty respectful to each other. IMO, some people who disliked one or the other just find it irritating. I get it and am not criticizng, as I have done the same myself. I know there are contestants that could probably save a small child and I would probably thing they were only

How is he promoting a 'maybe romance' at all? He was in LA for the podcast. Yes, him and Ashley are kind of a random pair but I think they were sort of friends already? Or at least friends before Lauren came along. They hung out at a concert together. The article includes 2 pictures of people who IMO definitely appear to be just friends. Someone from the concert must have seen them and taken a picture. Is that promo? No. The preview for the podcast was addressing the obvious question. I think it's fine for him to talk about once. What he wrote on Twitter was very nice and good for him for clarifying. It's like when he stays quiet - he's in the wrong. When he does speak and does do something - he's in the wrong.

EDIT: Also, Whether Ashley is interested in Ben or not, IMO, Ben would not go for her. She's a more annoying version of Lauren.

I agree with all of this. IMO, it's silly to automatically assume that Ben is hanging out with Ashley to spark rumors of romance to promote their podcast. A guy and girl can be JUST friends. Ben has 1.5 million Instagram followers. IMO, he could easily post one picture of himself promoting it and get the same kind of publicity.

I don't personally think the comment about the furniture is meant as anything serious. I know a guy who was divorced a few years ago who made an almost identical comment about living alone with a chair basically after his divorce, and how empty the room felt, which reflected his internal state. I think that is all that Ben meant by his comment, and nothing more. JMO

Yeah, apparently he said in that podcast that he has a bed, a television, his whiskey cart and a wicker chair. If it's not true then why say it in the first place? To have people pity him and his lonesome state? Just shut up, Ben. JMO.

I think Ashley may have asked him specifically if he had a bed and TV still. The wicker chair might've been from the outdoor stuff they got. IMO, it's the media that over exaggerated what he said. And the whiskey cart was one of his fave things from they stuff they got together so he was able to keep that.

@mindless the clip obtained by people never said that, only their article did. I think the best thing to do is actually hear the podcast in full before making decisions about what was said and what wasn't.

@hdman it is not out yet. It comes out may 23rd and I'm assuming will be available on the iheart radio app.

It seriously never even crossed my mind that this was some kind of "scandal" or even noteworthy until Ben felt the need to pen a novel detailing every piece of furniture and who owns what.
