This make me think of actorsomething on press tour for films! They always have the same stories! Sometimes they even say the same words

When you have that much interviews, how can you not? Plus like you said they are highly prepped!

These people are VERY good at what they do. Rachel could come out and say, "I'm engaged to so and so," and her interview answers, editing, blogs etc will still create doubt and have some people hoping for a different outcome ( been there one time too many). This is how they keep us hooked!

IDK. All of Nick and Jojo's interviews had me convinced that the spoiled F1 was the real F1.   In Kaitlyn's case, her blogs convinced me it was Shawn. Then again, those 3 were goners early on for their F1 and no one else really stood a chance IMO unlike this season where there seem to be two frontrunners IMO.

@coolangel **edited** We've seen one episode so far. Perceptions are probably gonna change a lot by Monday night, maybe even by Sunday night after their Palm Springs segment aires on TV.

The difference is none of those 3 were allowed to admit they were engaged. So they had a bit more leeway with talking about their F1 because the show could still promote the 'will they find love?' angle. With Kaitlyn there was the single foiler, which she ruined, with JoJo there was the 'is Jordan there for the right reasons/does he actually have feelings for her' storyline, and Nick had the infamous 'will he be rejected again' theme. Even Ben had the two ILYs dilemma. 

Rachel, on the other hand, has been allowed to say she's engaged and has spoken about how secure and confident her F1 is in their relationship. I'm sure a condition of revealing that she's engaged is that she has to really hype her F2 and create a lot of doubt because the suspense this season isn't 'will she find love' but rather 'who does she find love with'. IMO the more she gushes about Bryan's kissing but clams up about Peter when interviewers bring him up, the more I believe the spoiler just because, if Bryan is F1, I can't imagine TPTB would be okay with her 'giving it away' so heavily.

I'll play devils advocate with you to add to it: Rach is still into the kiss(es) even though he called her sloppy seconds on national tv with likely little to no remorse, given what a Romeo he appears to be imo. So you would think the kiss would be tainted to her now, looking back, but it's not at all. Let's also add that she has described f1 as confident and an unexplained connection, same words used for our Baddy Boy (II) Bryan.

Also Kaitlyn spoiled her season pretty early on. Hard to know what her interviews/blogs would've been like if everyone didn't already know who she chose. All JMO.

Of course there are exceptions, but very few and far between, imo. If you already "ship" (major eyeroll) the lead and spoiled F1, everything (almost) is coloured by your feelings. If you are looking for clues to discredit the spoilers, you will find them, in spades. The producers make sure of that.

@julychild....really well said....the producers are indeed good at what they do which is why the show IMO is still on year after year and does not look like it's going anywhere; the producers script the show IMO to appeal to the 2 approaches that you described

What about the ones who don't care who is picked and just want to sleuth? With the last few seasons, I don't think TPTB have gone out of their way to discredit the spoilers IMO. They create an edited mess of a season but interviews/blogs/SM still point to the real F1 if one is willing to be objective IMO. Speaking only for myself, even though I was rooting for V to be F1, that didn't stop me from sleuthing both Raven and Rachel esp. during SHV's till the end. It's possible to be objective even while being a shipper IMO.
