Here is the new scoreboard for Survivor 2011 - After the Merge

Survivor Scoreboard - Post Merge - No Discussion SUVpostmerge

Who wins immunity, gets eliminated or becomes a jury member is indicated by the corresponding symbol from the legend at the top of the chart.

Each contestant is identified by a symbol which will be used to show who the contestants voted for each week at tribal council. (Example Rick is a blue triangle so in Week 8 it shows that on first and second round of voting Ozzy, Whitney, Dawn, Jim, and Keith all voted for Rick. Cochrane voted for Rick in round one of the voting but switched sides and voted for Keith -the red heart - on the second round of votes.

Survivor Week 8 - Merge Week - November 2, 2011 Recap

REDEMPTION ISLAND
Christine and Ozzy are set to battle it out for the final battle of Redemption Island. The winner will return to their tribe and the loser will be eliminated. Instead of just 2 witnesses to the match from each team, both teams are entirely present.

Before the challenge begins - Ozzy (going with the pre conceived plan) rants about how Cochran backstabbed him and sent him to Redemption Island and says he is out to win the challenge and come back for revenge. Albert rolls his eyes and whispers to Coach that he doesn't believe it.

For the challenge both contestants are give a bundle of sticks and ropes. The must tie the sticks together to make a long pole to reach between cage doors to retrieve 3 keys hanging on posts. The then must unlock the 3 locks. The first one to complete the task is the winner.

Christine hurrys and ties her sticks together and is the first one attempting to reach her keys. Ozzy is being more careful and slower in the way he ties his sticks together.

Christine's first attempt at getting the key is unsuccessful when her pole starts to come apart and she must take time to retie it. Ozzy's first attempt at retrieving his keys ends up with him dropping the key and having to retrieve it from the ground. He does this quickly and very speedily retrieves his remaining 2 keys while Christine struggles with her pole and Ozzy ends up with all three keys before Christine is able to retrieve even her first key.

Ozzy wins and goes back to his team. Christine is eliminated in 11th place.

JEFF INSTRUCTS ALL TO DROP THEIR BUFFS AND GET NEW YELLOW BUFFS - THE MERGE TAKES PLACE.
The new team (to be called Tetanu) goes to their new beach and finds the traditional merge feast waiting for them.

GAME PLAY
Ozzy and Cochrane keep uo the planned charade of being at odds with each other. Cochrane later in private gives Ozzy the idol back. Cochrane is supposed to pretend to switch sides to gather information from the former Upolu tribe.

The Savali members figure that Upolu will not come after the strong players because they will suspect that they will be protected by the immunity necklace. They figure that Upolu's strategy will be to come after Whitney so they plan to give Whitney the immunity idol at tribal council. They tell Cochrane to tell Upolu that they are coming after Sophie when they will actually be going after Rick.

Cochrane puts the plan into play at Upolu but Coach is not buying the story. He tells Cochrane what he thinks Savali's plan was in sending Ozzy to Redemption and he is exactly correct. Coach tells Cochrane that Upolu is very loyal and will be voting all 6 for one person so he suspects that it will result in a 6-6 tie and that they will have to draw stones to see who is eliminated. He suggests the if Cochrane were to join Upolu that he would be taking control of his own game and not leaving it to random. Cochrane thinks about it and decides that Coach is right and that he would rather take an active role than leave his demise to chance. He admits the whole Savali plan to Coach including the part where he was supposed to tell them that Savali were going to vote for Sophie when they actually are going to vote for Rick.

Cochrane later has a conversation with Dawn and tries to convince her to switch sides with him. Dawn is remorseful for not sticking up for Cochrane when the team has been mean to him and agrees to switch sides with him.

IMMUNITY CHALLENGE

Jeff calls them all in for the challenge and reveals two immunity necklaces and states that one guy and one gal will have immunity.

The challenge is to balance a coconut between parrellel ropes attached to handles will they are perched on a rounded board that they must balance on. At intervals the rope will get longer and make the challenge more difficult.

The first to drop her coconut is Edna followed by Cochrane in round one. The rope is lengthened and in round two first Whitney and then Sophie drop their coconuts leaving Dawn to win Immunity as the last woman standing. The challenge continues for the guys. Coach, then Rick, Jim and Keith drop their coconuts and round two is completed. Brandon quickly drops his coconut in the beginning of round three leaving Albert and Ozzy to battle it out...Albert drops his coconut and Ozzy is the victor.

MORE GAME PLAY
After the immunity challenge Dawn starts to have second thoughts and decides that she does not want to be disloyal to the Savali members. She urges Cochrane to abandon his plan to switch sides but she does not tell anyone about it. She wants to give Cochrane to opportunity to change is mind at tribal council.

TRIBAL COUNCIL
Discussion is about team loyalties and whether someone will make a swith. Ozzy states that he or rather the team has an immunity idol and plan to use it.

The vote takes place and before the results are revealed Ozzy plays his immunity idol by giving it to Whitney.

The vote is tied with 6 votes for Keith and 6 votes for Rick ( Savali members look surprised when they find that Keith is the target of the Upolu members)

A second vote is required and when the votes are revealed Keith has more votes and is eliminated.

Cochrane turns to Ozzy and says "I swapped sides. I will explain later"
Jim calls Cochrane a coward and traitor.

Brandon speaks up to Jim and says not to talk to Cochrane like that. He says "It is talking to him like that made this happen"

SENT TO REDEMPTION ISLAND
At Tribal Council - Keith (Savali)

Survivor Week 9 - November 9th - Double Tribal Council - Double Elimination

IMMUNITY CHALLENGE NUMBER 1
All contestants must toss coconuts into a circle. The first four getting their coconut into the circle will advance and will use a rock to split open coconuts enough to be able to draw the liquid out of them. They will carry the liquid in their mouths and navigate an obstacle course. They will then spit the coconut juice into a tube. The first person to fill the tube wins immunity. Dawn, Whitney, Jim and Sophie are the first four to get their coconuts into the circle to move on. The race is on and Jim thinks he has his tubed filled but Jeff says no he needs one more round. While Jim is racing back to get his final mouthful, Sophie is racing forward with the last mouthful that will give her the win. Howver she swallows a bit of the coconut water and that causes her to gag and ultimately spit out the remainder of her mouthful. Jim takes this opportunity to zoom past her and complete the task. Jim wins immunity.

GAME PLAY AND TRIBAL COUNCIL PART 1
Savali members are really ticked at Cochran. Ozzy takes Cochran aside for a private talk in which Cochran tries to explain why he switched sides. Ozzy seems to understand but tells Cochran that he would not have chosen to play that way. Jim and Whitney confront Cochran and are very angry. They say that he betrayed them after they had saved him 3 weeks in a row. The say that he is a coward and that they hate him. They tell him that because of him that now they will be picked off one by one instead of them being able to do that to Upolu members.

Dawn is contemplating switchiing sides. She thinks that it might be her only option for survival. She tries being friendly with Upolu members.

Coach takes Cochran aside and asks him who he wants to see eliminated. Cochran says that strategically that if Ozzy does not win immunity they should vote him out but on a personal level he would like to see Jim go.

Coach and Ozzy have a heart to heart talk. Ozzy says he does not want to leave but if voted out to Redemption he will fight to come back. Coach sympathizes with Ozzy's new humility but says it is too late.

Jim tells Ozzy that at tribal council he will give Ozzy the immunity necklace and tell everyone that they have all played the game honorably except Cochran and that Cochran should be voted out. However when it actually gets to tribal council and they are being questioned by Jeff...Jim tells everyone that he had planned on giving Ozzy the immunity idol and why but thinks he will now keep the idol for himself. The vote takes place and all Upolu members including Cochran vote to send Ozzy to Redemption Island. Ozzy says he will be fighting to come back.

IMMUNITY CHALLENGE NUMBER 2
Jeff describes the immunity challenge but then says everyone has an option. If they feel that they are safe and don't require immunity then they can choose to sit out and eat desserts as he uncovers a table laden with all kinds of sweets. Jeff asks Coach if he will be playing in the immunity challenge and Coach says he wants to but all his tribe stick together. Jim states that only 3 are in jeopardy and need to play the challenge (the 3 Savali members) Coach agrees and all Upolu members sit down to eat.

The challenge is: members will stand on a balance beam that gets progressively narrower while holding a ball balanced on a bow. The last one standing will win immunity. The others may eat until the challenge is complete. Jim does not last long and drops his ball. Whitney and Dawn battle on. Dawn has a couple of near misses but the Upolu crew are shouting encouragement to her. She says she will hold on as long as possible so that they can eat. They make it past the first section on the balance beam and move on to a narrower section. Dawn eventually drops the ball and Whitney wins immunity.

GAME PLAY AND TRIBAL COUNCIL
Jim tries to get Albert and Sophie to join him, Whitney and Dawn in an alliance. He points out to them that he does not think Coach will be taking them to final 3. Albert tells Sophie that Jim has nothing to offer them. He says that they should be trying to get out Dawn. While Jim might be strong to compete against in immunity challenges, Dawn is tough in challenges plus she is smart and Upolu members are beginning to like her too much. Albert talks to Coach and they discuss whether to vote out Dawn or Jim.

Before Tribal council, in the most hilarious moment of the episode. Cochran comes strutting out in Coaches jacket and hat. He has everyone laughing and Savali members question where this funky fun loving side of him was up until now. Upolu members are smiling at Cochran and treating him like he is a family pet. Cochran is still wearing Coaches jacket when they go to tribal council.

At tribal council Whitney is tearful and says she is being unfairly vilified. Brandon says now that the shoe is on the other foot that Savali members are all humble where before they treated Uplou as the villians without getting to know any of the members. He says it is too late and the the Savali tribe will be taken out one by one. Dawn says that if she had been one of the Upolu tribe that she would have chosen not to eat. Brandon called her a hypocrit because he said that during the competition that Dawn was trying to hold on so that they could eat more. Dawn just said yes she did that to be a team player but she thought it was hurtful that they had eaten in front of the others and she would have chosen not to do it. The vote is called. Dawn is nervous that the tribe is now angry with what she tried to say and will vote her out. The vote is counted and Jim is the one eliminated and sent to Redemption Island to join Keith and Ozzy who are already there.

PREVIEW TO NEXT WEEK
Ozzy is eating lots of protein and getting lots of exercise to get in shape to fight his way back from Redemption Island.

ELIMINATIONS
Ozzy to Redemption Island
Jim to Redemption Island

Survivor Week 10 - Another Double Elimination

REDEMPTION ISLAND CHALLENGE
The whole remaining tribe are there to witness the duel between Keith, Jim and Ozzy.

The challenge is for the competitors to stand with their arms outstretched pressing poles balanced on the back of their hand against a board above their head. The last one remaining will stay on RI with a chance to get back in the game. Jim is the first to be eliminated and becomes the first jury member, followed by Keith. Ozzy remains at Redemption Islands and tells the tribe that he will be eating and resting and exercising to beat the rest of them when they get to Redemption and when he gets back in the game.

GAME PLAY
Dawn talks to Cochran, while the rest of the tribe is out looking for food. Dawn reminds Cochran that she did not reveal his plan to vote against his Savaii tribe mates and hopes that Cochran will reward her by helping her to stay in the game. Dawn admits, "I’ll do anything to stay in the game now.” Cochran assures Dawn that he still would like to work with her. He also realizes that he would likely get more jury votes by switching back to work with Dawn and Whitney, rather than to blindly follow Upolu to the end. Cochran reveals, "Either way it’s going to be a leap of faith.” He has to either trust Upolu to take him to the end or to make a big move and jump back to supporting Savaii. Coach and Cochran do Tai Chi on the beach. While on the beach, Coach says to Cochran, "I sometimes think I’m going to get blindsided.” He is most worried about Albert and Brandon. Cochran then asks Coach if he is going to get voted out when only seven people are left. Coach assures Cochran that he will do all he can to make sure that doesn’t happen, but reminds him that he is not in control of the game as people think. Hearing that Coach is concerned about the tribe and Albert in particular, Cochran admits, "I’m starting to get concerned about my place in this game.

IMMUNITY CHALLENGE
Each person will balance a bowl filled with rice on top of his or her head. They will then race across two teeter-totters and empty their rice into a container. If at any point, they touch the bowl while it’s on top of their head or the bowl falls off, they have to go back to the start. First person to fill up their container wins immunity and is safe from Tribal Council tonight. Most contestants struggle with the challenge and have repeatedly go back and refill their bowls. Sophie, Brandon and Dawn are the most skilled and are neck and neck at the front of the challenge. All three have filled their bowls twice but on the third round Sophie loads hers to the over flowing level and that gives her the edge to win the Immunity Chllenge.

Jeff announces that there will be a twist at tribal council tonight.

GAME PLAY PRE COUNCIL
Dawn has a feeling that she will be voted out tonight. She is not willing to give up hope though and says, "It’s not over.” Dawn and Whitney agree that they may have a chance, if they talk to Albert. Whitney admits, "Albert, at least, seems like a good guy.” So Whitney and Dawn head over to talk to Albert alone. Whitney tells him that Coach will likely take Edna and Sophie to the end She tells him, "If somebody wants to turn this game around, now’s the time.” Dawn reminds Albert that she and Whitney are two votes that can help someone. Albert reveals, "Right now, I’m at a crossroads.” Albert would like to get all of the old Savaii members to vote for him at the end. So he considers voting Edna out at this Tribal Council to win the favor of Dawn and Whitney by not voting them out. Albert also knows that Cochran would appreciate the fact that Edna is voted out before him, therefore winning Albert another vote. Albert tells Whitney that he feels she and Dawn deserve to stay much more than Edna, who has only ridden coattails in this game. His plan is to have Dawn, Whitney, Cochran and himself vote for Edna along with one more person, who he hopes will be Sophie. Coach and Brandon notice Albert talking to Whitney. Both of them are bothered by Albert breaking their alliance rules by talking with the enemy before a vote. Next, Albert talks to Cochran while they are playing checkers. Albert reveals to Cochran that he is going to be the target when only seven people are left. Cochran vents, "Albert just confirmed my suspicions.” Cochran is upset that the alliance would vote him out before Edna, considering the fact that he was the one that saved the tribe in the first place. Albert reveals to Cochran that he has a plan to get Edna out before Cochran. Albert then goes to talk to Sophie and tells her the plan. Sophie sees the logic in Albert’s plan and understands that it is an ideal time to make a big move with Dawn and Whitney’s vote. Sophie admits, "In the end of the day, it’s a question of what will take me to the end. Coach realizes that Albert is working hard to get jury votes. Coach gathers his alliance together right before leaving for Tribal Council. He tells them, "If anybody goes against the five, it’s instant death.”

TRIBAL COUNCIL
At Tribal Council Jeff asks Cochran if he is afraid of being voted out in 7th place to which Cocran replies that he is making plans to try to avoid that. Jeff states the obvious that now would be the ideal time to make a big move. Dawn and Whitney says that they are willing to be used as votes if anyone is brave enough to defy Coach. Coach says he is not the leader. The vote takes place and just as it happens every season when things are in place for a perfect game changer, the game changers chicken out and keep the status quo. Whitney and Dawn vote to oust Edna and all others vote for Dawn to be sent to redemption island.

Jeff announces that there will be an immediate immunity challenge and another elimination. The challege will be a survivor quiz. Jeff reads the first question: To prevent dehydration, it is recommended that Survivors drink how much purified water every day? A. One Pint; B. One quart; C. One gallon The correct answer is C. One gallon. Only Whitney, Cochran, Sophie, Coach and Brandon get it right. The second question asks them if the coconut crab got its name because its favorite food is coconut. The correct answer is true. Only three people get it right Whitney, Coach and Sophie. The next question asks what the soft edible flesh within the stalk of a fallen coconut is called. The correct answer is heart of palm. Coach is eliminated on that question, leaving only Sophie and Whitney to fight it out for immunity. The next question asks if giant South Pacific clams are dangerous and therefore should not be removed from the ocean. The answer is false and only Sophie gets it right. So Sophie wins individual immunity for a second time. The vote takes place and Whitney votes for Cochrane while all others vote for Whitney to be eliminated.

ELIMINATIONS
Jim from RI to Jury
Keith from RI to Jury
Dawn to RI
Whitney to RI

PREVIEW FOR NEXT WEEK
Though they didn't say it - I believe next week will be a recap week.

Time to turn on your own tribe. Coach is questioning Brandon's attitude. He has stopped fishing and gathering food.

Survivor week 11 was the season recap episode
Survivor weeke 12 Double elimination at Redemption Island

REDEMPTION ISLAND
Ozzy, Dawn and Whitney face off
The challenge is to balance dishes on the end of a wobbly arm. More dishes will be added at timed intervals. Dawn is the first one out to become jury member 3 (she hung in for quite a while but the 11th dish added knocked her out) followed by Whitney to become jury member 4. Ozzy hangs on for another week and says he will be excited to play against a member from the rival team (Upolu) on his next immunity challege.

GAME PLAY BEFORE THE CHALLENGE
Cochrane
says he is very vulnerable at number 7 He feels like the other 6 are a cult somewhat like Charles Manson lol and they are about to make him swallow the poison cool-aid. He decides to go before them and pleads his case of why he deserves to stay for one more day at least and says that it will be his birthday in 2 days. He goes fishing with Brandon and although he cannot catch the fish he can hold on to the dangerous fish with teeth. (It might come alive and bite him at any time LOL)

Albert
Albert in a pm to the camera says he is there to play the game and that does not mean washing clothes or fetching water or any of the other chores. The tribe notices that he does nothing but laze around the camp. Rick calls him Princess Albert. Later he stirs around the pail of clothes that Edna has on the fire and spills the water putting out the fire.

Edna
Edna is upset that she knows she is in 6th place and is very vulnerable and thinks she has to do all that she can to stay in the game. She is doing the laundry and comments to the camera about how lazy Albert is. She talks to Coach and asks him what are her chances to not be voted out in 6th place.

Coach
Coach is teaching Tai Chi to Cochrane. He wants Cochrane to go into the immunity challenge with the feeling that he can win it. Coach tells the camera that taking Edna and Cochrane to the final 3 would be good for him because no one on the jury would vote for them but he is not sure whether he should take that route or stay true to his original 5 alliance.

THE IMMUNITY/REWARD CHALLENGE
The challenge will be 2 part redoing some old challenges. First team members will throw beanbags and have them land on the top of crates. The first 3 to get 3 bags staying on will advance to part 2. Albert gets his 3 on first followed by Rick and then Sophie.

Part 2 of the challenge is to use a large sling shot to fire coconuts at tribal plates and break 3 of them. It runs neck and neck with several misses at the the 3rd plate but Albert ends up winning immunity and the reward.

The reward is a bush spa package of a shower using nice clean water and a massage with scented oils. Jeff tells Albert that he can choose one other person to go with him and Albert chooses Coach. Albert asks if he can take a third person but Jeff says no that only 2 can go. Albert asks if he can choose someone to go in his place. Jeff is surprised but says yes. Albert says he would rather have food and hopes someone would give up some food for him if the opportunity arose at a later challenge. He says he would like to choose Cochrane for what he did for the tribe and because it is his birthday in 2 days.

AFTER CHALLENGE GAMEPLAY

Cochrane
is not sure if Albert chose him because he wanted to work out some game strategy or wanted his vote when he becomes a member of the jury. He tells the camera that he does not know what Albert would do if he found out that he had lied about his birthday.....it was already 2 months previously.

Albert
says the he does not want to see Cochrane go before Rick does. He says Rick does nothing and Cochrane tells him about Rick calling him "Princess Albert. Cochrane also assures Albert that if he asks Coach to vote out Rick that he will.

Edna says that she deserves to be there longer than Rick and she will agree with Albert and Cochrane to vote out Rick.

Cochrane
Tells Coach about the alliance to vote out Rick. Coach says his next decision will effect the whole rest of the game.

TRIBAL COUNCIL
Jeff says that there are endless possibilites to what could happen now. He asks Cochrane if there has been scrambling around to make alliances.

Cochrane tells Jeff that he feels that he is entitled to stay at least one more day. He said that if he finished at 7 it would have not been worth his while to turn on his old tribe. Coach and Albert agree that Cochrane did a good thing for them by switching alliance.

Edna says she feels betrayed and vulnerable because she knows that she is supposed to be number 6.

Brandon says that he is voitng for Cochrane this week and Edna next week as that is the plan for the original 5 alliance and he is sticking to his work. Jeff says "You are having a bad time with this aren't you". Brandon is tearful and says yes. There is something inside him making him play honestly even though part of him wants to do dishonorable things.

Cochrane says that he would not trust an alliance with Brandon as he is to unmalleable and does not listen to suggestions for change. He asks Brandon what he would do if Edna wins immunity next challenge.

The vote takes place and Cochrane is voted out to Immunity Island.
Edna and Cochrane vote for Rick and all others vote for Cochrane

Next Episode
Cochrane is asking Ozzy if there is any possibility that he can beat Ozzy in the duel and Ozzy assures him that there is but behind Cochrane's back Ozzy tells the camera that there is no chance that Cochrane can beat him in a duel.

Survivor Week 13

Redemption Island Challenge
Ozzy vs Cochran. Jeff announces that there will be a twist at the end of the challenge. The challenge is each contestant will use grappling hooks to retrieve three bags. Each bag contains a ball. Once they have all three bags, they will use one ball to solve a table maze. The first person to solve the maze stays alive in the game and still has a chance at the million-dollar prize. The loser is out of the game and joins the jury. Ozzy quickly gets his three bags while Cochran stuggles with the grappling hook. He slowly manoevers the ball through the maze while Cochran gets his 3 bags. Ozzy drops his ball which allows Cochran to catch up but then he loses his ball. Eventually they are neck and neck and Ozzy with only inches to spare gets his ball through the hole before Cochran and wins the challenge. The twist to the challenge will be recapped in the game play section below.

Gameplay.

Edna - Edna is very upset and thinks that she is unfairly marked by the tibe for elimination. When Brandon calls the tribe together for a morning prayer she says that since she is apparently not a member of the tribe she will not take part in the prayer and walks off into the bush. Later she meets with Coach and says she feels that she feels like a second class citizen on the outside of the tribe and accuses Coach of knowing all along that she was not in the top 5. Coach tries to explain that it is now an individual game for everyone when their conversation is interrupted by Brandon bringing in Sprint treemail. She later pleads with the tribe to help a sister out and vote out Brandon

TREEMAIL
Te Tuna gathers together to share the videos from home on the enclosed Sprint phone before they go to the Redemption duel. Every member of the tribe cries as they see videos from their loved ones, who are now in the South Pacific, including Rick’s wife, Edna’s sister, Sophie’s dad, Albert’s mom, Coach’s brother and Brandon’s father. Brandon is thrilled to hear encouraging words from his father’s video. He says, "I love him and I can't wait to just see him, whether I get to spend time with him or not.”

The Redemption Island Twist is that after Ozzy wins the challenge Jeff tells him that he has a big decision to make. He then brings out Sophie’s dad Thurston, Edna’s sister Debbie, Coach’s brother Pete, Rick’s wife Katy, Albert’s mom Annie, and Brandon’s dad Sean, who is also Russell Hantz’s brother. They all hug their loved ones and then return to the bleachers. Ozzy now has to pick one person to spend some time with their loved one. He knows this is a very important strategic decision. He chooses Albert. Jeff then asks Ozzy to choose a second person. Ozzy chooses Coach. Ozzy then gets to choose one final person to spend time with their loved one, so he chooses Brandon. So Rick, Edna and Sophie return to camp without their loved ones. Jeff gives Ozzy, Albert and his mom Annie, Coach and his brother Pete and Brandon and his dad Sean the EVO 3D phone from Sprint to take pictures of their visit, which will take place on Redemption Island at Ozzy’s camp.

BRANDON
Brandon is talking to his dad about how he has been playing the game. His dad admires Brandon for his loyalty to his alliance, but reminds him that he is playing Survivor to win a million dollars for himself and his family. Brandon is more interested in setting a good example, than winning the money. Brandon's Dad talks to Coach and asks him to keep Brandon under his wing. He says that he will talk to Brandon and have him follow everything that Coach tells him to do. Coach comments to the camera that Brandon's Dad is a bully just like Russell Hantz.

COACH
Coach is not planning on taking Brandon to the final 3. In a side talk with Ozy Coach tells Ozzy that he want to take him to the final three. He vows to Ozzy that he is telling the truth. Ozzy agrees to the plan. Coach says, "I want to take Ozzy to the end. Two noble warriors fighting it out to see who the sole survivor is.

RICK
We don't get to see much of Rick as per usual but are shown a quick take of him squeezing his wife's butt LOL

ALBERT AND SOPHIE are not show with any significant input during this episode.

IMMUNITY CHALLENGE
The goal of the challenge is to keep moving across a giant puzzle board. The contestants will take turns flipping over a puzzle piece and stepping on it. Once a piece is turned over, they can never step back onto it. Once a contestant is out of moves, they are out of the challenge. Last person standing wins immunity.

Sophie goes first, followed by Albert, Brandon, Edna, Coach and then Rick. After each person has made six moves, Jeff comments that Edna looks like she is being squeezed out, since the others seem to be heading towards her. After a few more moves, Albert is the first one out of the challenge, . Brandon is the second one of the challenge. When he joins Albert on the bench, he starts telling Albert why he made the moves he did in the challenge. The remaining people in the game can easily hear what he is saying, so Jeff asks Brandon to explain. Brandon responds, "I just wanted to cover enough surface area to where a particular person didn’t win this immunity …” Edna interrupts Brandon and tells him just to use her name, since she knows that he was trying to block her. Edna tells Jeff that she knows they are targeting her, since she was not lucky enough to join their alliance on day one, like the other remaining Te Tuna members did. Rick is out, and then Sophie is the next to run out of puzzle pieces and is out of the challenge. Edna gets more and more frustrated as she runs out of pieces and knows that she has been set up to lose. She admits, "It’s a bit of an insult.” Edna makes her last move and is out of the challenge. Coach wins individual immunity and is safe from tonight’s Tribal Council. Brandon is not bothered by Edna’s anger. He comments, "I’ve got more game to play and I’m going to enjoy that breakfast on day 39.”

EDNA
Edna meets with Coach to find out her fate. Coach tells her that although she deserves to stay in the game, they don’t want to vote out Brandon and then have him come back from Redemption Island. Edna then asks, "Would you play your idol for me?” Coach declines, explaining that the alliance would then not trust him and vote him out next. He does recommend that she tell Albert and Sophie that she talked to Coach and everything is cool, and then see how they vote. Edna takes his advice and tells Albert and Sophie that she is voting for Brandon and asks that they do the same. Albert is willing to consider it, but wants to make sure they have the numbers. Edna assures him that she has Coach’s support. Since, he doesn’t have the immunity necklace, Albert is willing to do whatever it takes to guarantee him a spot in the final four.

TRIBAL COUNCIL
Edna admits that she is in the hot seat tonight and pleads her case that Brandon should go instead of her, since their tribe mantra is honor, loyalty and integrity. She reminds them that Brandon was caught lying even back at the first Tribal Council to Mikayla about Stacey and Christine. And even in this last challenge he lacked honor in the way he revealed his strategy to get her out. The vote is taken. Edna votes for Brandon but all other votes are cast against Edna and she is sent to Redemption Island to face off with Ozzy.

Eliminated to the jury this episode was Cochran

Finale Week - Wed Dec 14

REDEMPTION ISLAND CHALLENGE
Ozzy vs Edna
The challenge is that the contestants must manouver a slide puzzle in which the largest piece contains a hatchet. Once moving the pieces to a spot where the hatchet piece can be removed they need to cut down a bag of puzzle cubes and assemble them in the rack so that no color is showing twice on the same side. Ozzy gets the slide puzzle completed quickly and is off to a long head start with the whole tribe shouting to help Edna. Edna eventually catches up and at one point it looks like she might have the correct combination to the cube puzzle but there is an error and Ozzy breezes past her to win the challenge.

GAMEPLAY
Albert
Tonight Albert was the "star" of the episode. It began with Sophie asking him if they were voting for Brandon or Rick (She was assuming that Albert, her and Coach were still in alliance as the final 3). Albert answers her but in a PM to the camera he says she doesn't know that she is the next to go. Albert says that Sophie is educated, smart, strategic and able to win immunity challenges. That makes her the most dangerous person on the tribe. He says that Rick is the least dangerous and it would be to his benefit to take Rick to the final 3 along with Coach. He theorizes that Rick has done nothing all through the game so will get no jury votes and that Coach has been too strategic in getting others off so that the jury members will not vote for him. He thinks this final 3 will give him the best shot at the win so he talks to Rick and tells him that he plans to take him to the final three and tells him that they need to get rid of Sophie. He then tells Brandon that he, Albert and Coach will be the final 3 even though he has no intention of taking Brandon to final 3. Later Albert talks to Coach and tries to convince him to vote out Sophie and take Brandon to final 3. Coach is explaining why Brandon would get more jury votes when they are interrupted by Brandon. There is more to come to the Albert story after the Immunity Challenge.

Sophie
Sophie talks to Coach and says that they need to vote Brandon out to Redemption Island. She says that both Ozzy and Brandon are strong challenge competitors and they need to pit them against each other so that they only have to contend with whichever one makes it back to the tribe instead of having to deal with both of them. She says that Ozzy has been in the real power position with the jury by being the last person to talk to each person before they are ousted to the jury. He welcomes them to RI and feeds them then sends them on their way.

Brandon/Coach
Brandon feels a little insecure when he sees Albert talking to Coach and butts into the conversation and asks them what they are talking about. Albert tells him they have been discussing jury threats. Brandon does not believe them and tells them he is nervous about their conversation. Coach is not happy with being questioned and bullied by Brandon, just the way that his Uncle Russell had done in the past. Brandon is not happy about being compared to his uncle and says he is hurt. Brandon asks Coach for a hug to rebuild their friendship and Coach obliges but says in a PM that Brandon's bullying has helped him make up him mind who he will align with for the final 3.

THE IMMUNITY CHALLENGE.
Contestants must scale an almost 90 degree wall to retrieve 5 bags of puzzle pieces. They must then dump out the pieces and match the tiles in pairs. Three tiles will not match but will contain a number to a code. They must take the number code and scale the wall to a coded lock and put in the right combination to release their flag. Brandon and Rick are off to an early lead. There are lots of falls and scrapes and rope burns during this challenge but Brandon maintains his early lead and wins the challenge.

In addition to the immunity necklace Brandon has won a pizza feast and must choose 1 other person to eat pizza with him in front of the tribe and they are not allowed to share any with the tribe. In a more that Brandon says is not strategical he chooses Rick.

BACK TO GAMEPLAY
Now that Brandon has immunity, tribe members must reconsider who to vote off. Sophie checks with Coach and he says Albert is the next to go. Sophie wanders over to Rick and Brandon and says that she just wants to smell the pizza. Albert is nervous that she is up to something. Sophie tells Brandon and Rick that she and Coach plan on voting for Albert as he is being really sneaky and untrustworthy. Rick tells them that Albert told him that he wanted to take him to the final 3. Brandon says that a lot of people are not telling the truth and he tends to think it might be Albert. Brandon goes off to confront Albert and is followed by Rick and Sophie. Albert denies that he told Rick he was taking him to final 3 and says Rick is lying. Sophie is glad to see that Albert has been caught in his lies and scheming. It will help him be eliminated instead of just blindsided. After the argument subsides Albert realizes he has no other choice than to suck er I mean draw Brandon back into his side. He tells Brandon that the things that he said to others was just strategy and he did not mean them that he was only truthful with Brandon (yah right!) He asks why he would want to take Rick to the finals when Rick had called him Princess Albert. Brandon said he would pray about it. He does and decides that Albert needs forgiveness and tells Albert that he will not vote against him and infact if he feels Albert is in danger will give him his immunity necklace. Brandon goes off and tells Coach that he has prayed and forgiven Albert and asks Coach to do the same. Coach says he will pray and whomever God tells him to vote for he will. After he prays, Coach says one name get going through his head and it is with a very heavy heart but he knows who he will vote for.

TRIBAL COUNCIL
Jeff is about to ask Brandon how it feels to be immune from tonight's elimination when in a WTF jaw dropping moment, Brandon announces that he is giving up the immunity necklace to Albert. Jeff and the jury (especially Jim and Dawn) are left stunned. He hopes that his tribe mates will stay loyal to him now. Jeff reminds him that he is in a game competing for a million dollars. Albert admits that he has a real and spiritual bond with Brandon and Coach, which is stronger than his bond with Rick and Sophie. Albert says that he would give Brandon back the immunity necklace, if he felt Brandon were in danger tonight. Sophie rolls her eyes. Rick admits that he feels vulnerable, since Albert has the necklace and someone else has the hidden immunity idol, so only three of them can be voted out tonight. Coach winces because Rick has just exposed the fact that he has the idol to others. The remaining Te Tuna members all knew that Coach had the idol, but not everyone in the jury did. Rick apologizes to Coach for exposing the idol. Coach says, "It’s okay, it’s better safe than sorry at this point.” Brandon realizes that he might not be safe tonight. He tells Jeff that it is up to Albert if he wants to give him the necklace back tonight. Albert tries to assure Brandon that he and Coach are on his side. Albert says, "Honestly, I don’t think he’s going home tonight, so I’m not giving him the necklace back.”

Albert and Brandon cast their vote against Sophie
Rick, Coach and Sophie vote Brandon out to RI and as he leaves Coach tells him to go win his redemption.

PREVIEW FOR SUNDAY
Coach says that once you are a traitor and betray the alliance you are out for good. Albert realizes that he has burned his bridges and that he has to win immunity because there will be no more redemption island...when you are out from now on, you are out for good.

Finale Recap Season 23

The Final Immunity Island Challenge
Ozzy vs Brandon. The guys must cling to a pole with narrow footholds (Jeff informs them after the challenge begins that it is the narrowest foot holds that they have ever used. Ozzy moves around quite a bit but Brandon seems to be in a solid grip. Around the 40 minute mark, both contestants are moving around a lot and trying to keep an eye on each other. In the end it is Brandon who touches the ground first and becomes the 7th Jury member. Ozzy returns to the game

Gameplay
Ozzy is welcomed to the tribe by Albert, Rick and Sophie but they know that they want to beat his butt and get him out. Coach takes Ozzy aside and tells him that he want to take him to final 3. He says if he wins Immunity in the next challenge and feels that Ozzy is in danger, he will give Ozzy either the immunity necklance or the immunity idol. Ozzy is skeptical. Coach feels like he is in a no lose situation as he thinks all the remaining tribe members want to take him to the final 3.

Immunity Challenge 1
Contestants are faced with a teeter-totter. The must balance the teeter-totter with one hand while building a house of cards (wooden blocks) high enough to reach a marker. From the beginning, Ozzy, Coach and Sophie proved more adept at this challenge than Rick and Albert. Sophie is the fastest, but runs out of pieces before her tower reaches the finish mark. So, she has to rebuild her tower using fewer pieces on each level. Meanwhile, Ozzy and Coach make good progress towards the finish line. Coach moves his balancing board too much resulting in this tower of cards falling down. So, now Ozzy takes the lead. Sophie uses a new strategy to build her tower and quickly catches up to Ozzy. Ozzy runs into the same problem as Sophie, as he runs out of cards before reaching the end. He must start over. Sophie is now in the lead. Just then, half of Sophie’s stack falls onto the ground. She says, "Hey Albert, drop your stack and come pick up my pieces.” Albert declines, since he is finally making progress on his tower of cards. Sophie insists that he pick up her pieces, since she will likely beat him anyway. Jeff breaks the tension by telling them that this is an individual challenge with no helping allowed. Jeff tells Sophie, "If you want Ozzy out of this game, beat him.” Coach is now in the lead, with Ozzy close behind. Ozzy quickly catches up to Coach and takes the lead. Sophie scrambles to try and catch up. In the end, Ozzy gets his stack above the finish line and wins immunity.

More Gameplay
Coach and Albert decide to vote out Rick. Ozzy talks to Albert and encourages Albert to vote out Sophie because she is a spoiled brat. Rick talks to Coach who informs him that Sophie plans to vote him out but Coach won't...so Rick says he is going to vote for Sophie and asks Coack to do so too. Coach doesn't really commit but says "I 'd vote for Sophie". Albert tells Ozzy he is voting for Rick but Ozzy again encourages him to vote for Sophie and tells Albert that he could be the next one to go as Coach has told Ozzy that he want to take him to final 3. Albert confronts Coach about what Ozzy told him but coach neither confirms or denys it.

Tribal Council 1
Jeff points out that Ozzy has the necklace and Coach has the Idol so only Rick, albert and Sophie are at risk. Sopie says they need to beat Ozzy at the next challenge and Rick has not been good at challeges so if he is no help he should be voted out. Ozzy says Sopie is a spoiled brat and that others coming through redemption island have supported his view. This reduces Sophie to tears and she says Ozzy has never respected her. Coach says that they want to get rid of Ozzy because the three have been like a family since the beginning. Ozzy reminds Coach that as a chrisitian man he has stated that he wants to take Ozzy to final 3. The vote takes place and in a 3-2 vote Rick is sent to the jury. Coach stands up to say goodbye to Rick and Rick just bitterly tells him to "Go Sit Down".

The Game Continues
Ozzy knows he has to win this last immunity to stay in the game. Coach tells Ozzy that he betrayed him by outing their final 3 alliance at tribal. Ozzy says he trusted people before and that is how he got eliminated. Coach understands as it happened in the past to him too. He asks Ozzy who he wants out at Tribal Council and Ozzy says he would like to see a tie force a fire making challenge.

Final Immunity Challenge
Each castaway will race through a giant flower shaped obstacle course to collect five bags of puzzle pieces. They will then use those pieces to solve a puzzle. First person to get it right wins immunity and is guaranteed a spot at the final Tribal Council. Ozzy is off to a fast start and has a big lead by getting all 5 bags first. He is working on the puzzle when Sophie catches up and ends up getting her first piece of the puzzle solved before him. Ozzy seems like a deer in the head lights and keeps glancing at Sophie as she works her way through the puzzle. He can't seem to get his mind organized and in the end Sophie ends up the victor.

Ozzy's Final Chance
Ozzy pleads with Coach to remember his pledge to him as a Christian man and to vote and allow the tie so that he can face Albert in a fire making challenge.

TRIBAL COUNCIL 2
Ozzy states that his fate is in Coaches hands and that Coach has always said the he wanted to take the best to the finish and he is hoping that Coach will honor his statement. In the end Albert, Sophie and Coach vote for Ozzy and he becomes the final jury member.

Final tribal council will continue in the next post

Pre Tribal Council
Sophie say that she needs to approach tribal council more logically than emotionally and not breakdown. She says she will not say anything bad about Coach unless he comes across as a god or king.

Albert says he feels that he played a head and shoulders aove the other two type of game and feels confident (as misguided as always Smiley

Coach does tai chi and says this is his 3 time and hopes for a happy ending.

TRIBAL COUNCIL
Ozzy - says the good news is that it is not over, the bad news is that nobody wants to vote for any of you guys. He tells Coach that he admires that he made it to the end as a returning player with a target on his back but questions his integrity and honor and asks how Coach felt he honestly played the game. Coach replies that most of the time he was honorable but at times he was dishonorable.

Jim asks Albert why he should win above the 2 sitting next to him and says that Albert must not compliment the two. Albert says that Coach did not lead them to the win that he and Sophie brought Coach along with them. He says he played a much better social game than Coach or Sophie.

Dawn asks Sophie why she chose the alliance that she did. Sophie said that she could not choose teen girls to follow her like the men did but that she knew Coach wanted redemption so badly that he would be loyal and like her teen girl. (The look that resulted on coach's face was priceless). Sophie said that at the beginning she admired Albert's strategy but towards the end that she was ready to toss him out of the game.

Rick questions Coach about his honor based on the way he treated him in the game and Coach just apologizes to Rick. Rick confronts Albert about using God to take the immunity necklace from Brandon. He questions Sophie about lying in the game and she replies that she only lied when it was necessary.

Brandon asks Coach why he went back on his word to never vote him out and Coach replies that he knew Brandon would win if he went to the end. Brandon asks Albert if he knew that Brandon was going to be voted out when he took the immunity necklace from him. Albert say he did not. Brandon called him a liar.

Whitney calls Albert sleazy and condems Coach for using God to control his tribe. She tells Sophie that she is the most condescening person she has met. Sophie said that she thought it was a strength but now thinks it is a weakness.

Edna has no questions but tells the jury that the game is about duping people and that the final 3 duped them all so that they should not be angry at the 3 for playing the game.

Keith asks Coach if he would have played the immunity idol for the good of the tribe or would have kept it for himself. Coach says he would have used it for the tribe. Sophie then tells the story of how the idol was found and then only revealed when Brandon spent so much time looking for it. She revealed how they fake found it to stop Brandon from looking further.

Cochran asks Coach to explain his strategy. Coach admits, "I came into this game wanting to do all the right things and when you try to please everybody, you end up doing all the wrong things.” Coach apologizes for hurting people in the game.

The vote goes to the jury and it is revealed at the reunion that 3 votes were cast for Coach and 6 were cast for Sophie. Albert did not get a single vote.

AT REUNION WE LEARN

That Brandon is pretty much a dissappointment and outcast to his family

Keith and Whitney are together as a couple even though Whitney was in a different relationship when she came on survivor

Christine and Stacey have become really good friends and talk daily.

Dawn did a lot of work to get herself into shape to go on Survivor.

Sophie is more of a stand back withdrawn person who usually is last to speak at meetings.

Russel Hantz is a big a jerk as he ever was.

Ozzy wins the Fan Fave award but the biggest margin ever.

Cochran is second Fan Fave to Ozzy but he still does not have a girl friend. He is open to offers Smiley

Jeff would like to see a Russell versus Brandon season....(please God, don't let this be a for shadowing)

FLASH FORWARD TO NEXT SEASON
There will be some interesting changes. All suvivors will live together on one island but will still be divided into two tribes. They will be able to share resources or keep them to themselves.
