Dancing with the Stars Season 27 Premiere Date Announced

ABC's hit reality competition show Dancing with the Stars returns with an all-new season of dancing MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 24, 2018 8|7c! The DWTS Season 27 premiere kicks off a night of glamour, fun, and, of course, unforgettable routines in the ballroom. The full season competition kicks off with an all-new cast of celebrities, who will be paired up with the show's pro dancers and brave the dance floor for the very first time. Every week the celebrities will get out of their comfort zones and endure hours of rehearsals to learn new dance styles and the technical choreography they'll need to perform a winning dance. They'll be judged by the panel of renowned ballroom experts Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba, and Bruno Tonioli, as well as voted upon by viewers. While all the stars will go on a transformative journey, in the end, only one star will be crowned champion and win the coveted Mirrorball trophy.

Dancing with the Stars, produced by BBC Worldwide Productions, will return with an all-new cast of celebrities ready to take on the competition and hit the ballroom floor, in what will be another season full of surprises and stunning dances. DWTSJr is a new version of DWTS. It is kids competing. Looks like a celebrity kid will be partnered with a "pro" kid (someone that competes or dances professionally) and each team will have an adult mentor. Hosts for the show are Jordan Fisher and Frankie Muniz. Judges are Mandy Moore, Val Chmerkovskiy, and Adam Rippon.

From what I can tell at a quick glance on a blog devoted to DWTS, the junior version is being taped now with a live audience. The audience is the "viewer" vote along with the judges vote for the dance that week of taping.

DWTSJr will premiere on Sunday, October 7.

I can't believe Joe is going to be on DTWS... I seriously dont get why everyone is so obsessed with him. JMO.

I was really hoping to see Blake on DWTS if he wasn't the Bachelor. He actually showed ALOT of interest in being on DWTS. Esp since they always mentioned his dance moves and how he posts videos of him dancing. (like how he was dancing with one of the producers).

Same here...and can I say that I am slightly disappointed that Joe seems to have caught the ‘bug’ , he is getting into everything he can and it’s not consistent with his ‘ I don’t care about all this, I am the genuine article’ good guy image. Overexposure risk here? I mean, I guess $$$ talks...

TPTB most contestants are not on the show for the ‘right’ reasons. How many young adults you know who wants to get married to a basic stranger? They do want to be notice and change their social media status.

DWTS most of the contestants are on the show for exposure albeit stars, hasbeens or wannabes.

From what we know, starting salary for DWTS is $125,000...even if you get kicked off night one. If you last longer, you get more. The winner can make up to $345,000. Nothing to be sneezed at. I don't know why anyone would turn that down. You have some fun and meet some people you would never have had the chance to. It could also increase his regular business. I think it is great that someone who was kicked off the first night gets that kind of opportunity. That is unheard of. Personally, I will enjoy watching what he makes of this opportunity and might even make the effort to throw him a vote or two or more...

WOW! That’s a lot of mulla!!! I guess I’d rather see him than a ‘ has -been ‘ who is only fame hungry. Maybe he will be a refreshing change. That smile of his is killer... Anyone knows if he is indeed still with Kendall? She might come and encourage him...

I’m so excited for Joe to be on DWTS! He’s going to be so fun to watch. The outfits, the spray tans, moving those hips! And that grin! It’s such a positive show, perfect for a guy like Joe. The money is way too hard to pass up. And it’s hard work, so it’s not like you’re selling out. And I think he genuinely is still into Kendall so LA is perfect for him now.

@Astrobach RS said during the reunion Joe said they reconnected and were doing long-distance and then Chris Harrison brought up LA and DWTS. Guess we won't know until the official announcement on the 12th. Though GMA is revealing the first couple today/Wednesday.
