This brought tears to my eyes. We have seen Dean grow and mature and become vulnerable right before us over the years! He is a beautiful soul.

I didn't listen to all of it, but it's weird that they don't enjoy what they are doing until after it's done. The last hiking trip was dangerous and if Caelynn knew how difficult it was, she might not have gone.

Dean had a lot of nice things to say how she performed in difficult hike where at one point he suggested a medical helicopter out. After she declined that suggestion she hiked hard and fast and he was so proud of her.

They want to propose to each other.

Dean says he's excited to spend the rest of his life with her but marriage doesn't excite him as much. He's always been a bit strange, in a good way.

@GuardianAngel If we hadn't learned so much about Dean's unconventional upbringing, the loss of his mother, the estrangement from his father, I think we wouldn't understand him and his stance on things like marriage. One day, when he's a soccer dad and hasn't been on an adventure trip for some time, we'll be able to laugh and say "sooner or later all of us usually settle down"!
