I'm glad they are postponing. While the sleuthing and discussions are great fun and a wonderful distraction, putting safety first is never a bad move. Also, Clare's season may benefit from the extra time to recruit some more appropriate guys.

I agree. They just might possibly choose to switch up the cast with some older guys. I had read that Ashley I nominated a friend of hers but he had to get on a plane that day to go to LA for interviews because it was less than 10 days til filming. With this delay, there would be time for them to find some older guys. The younger ones can just be pushed back to another season. They do that all the time. Not right this year, maybe next time.

Just a gut feeling I have but I doubt it will preview May 18th. I sort of think that it will start later in the summer if they even do get to film it, maybe mid July and take over the BIP airing dates in August then ending in September. I think BIP might be off the production schedule as well for this year.

It has to be disappointing for many but like CH said it was the only thing to do.

Why is it when you don't care for someone you always "see" them. Geez! I wouldn't have a problem with her since I had no idea who she was, if she commented on his personal IG posts but anything related to TB annoys me. Her post stuck out like a sore thumb when I was listening to him.

The official Facebook took down the cast reveal.

I’m expecting some if not quite a bit if these guys who will drop and not come back for a Lead that is more than 10 years older...guys usually prefer YOUNGER not the other way around. I’m glad Matt will be back to NY and be there for this difficult transition that Tyler is in.
Now that each guy can go online and see the whole cast, they will see an easy way out with the delay and health issues. No out of state or country travel, older lead, bunch of guys that are probably not into THAT Lead. It’s another karmic little boomerang for TPTB.

@Astrobach I agree that this horrible virus may allow TPTB time to adjust the ages of cast members. I'm still meh re: Clare but some age-appropriate guys with life experience might pull me into her season.

Until then, I hope everyone stays safe and healthy.

Some of the cast IMO will remove themselves because they need income. Waiting around to find out when filming starts, which could be months, with the possibility of being eliminated night 1, isn’t financially viable. Ok for the self-employed but iffy for the rest. Guys on a career path, vs those who are just at the job for $ phase, are IMO less likely to want to wait.
Not having a fixed filming start date also makes it challenging for new applicants to arrange time off with employers.

I doubt there will be a new filming date announced anytime soon. The whole situation is still evolving.
