No worries. 
He might still have been cut (considering the public IG) but since the pandemic will be part of the storyline, TPTB might keep him on board.
Claire appears to be taking the pandemic and quarantine seriously, which could lead to some interesting exchanges if Matt has opposing views.
Depending on how dire the virus situation is in the US by the time this season airs, Matt may face some backlash for his stance on this IMO.
