This is a vindictive rumour. Maybe that it’s not true makes it easier to defend herself, but still.

Regardless, this story can absolutely cause harm  both personally and professionally ( true or not). Even if Brittney can handle it and make it “go away”, IMO it’s setting a standard that it’s ok to spread rumours that can destroy a person’s reputation in real life.

This whole situation is so disgusting and I wish they didn’t include it as a storyline.
