It sounds like it's possible it just happened at BIP and neither one of them were dating, which makes Piper and Brenden's situation worse.

I didn't like the way Alana was all over him, until she was told to leave. She didn't support Chris at all and seemed to blame him for everything, meanwhile she was the instigator.

I slept through most of the second hour on Monday's show, so I went back and reviewed it after having read the recaps. Beyond Brendan's ugly behavior (saying that Natasha had "no prospects" and was "irritating,") and Pieper's callousness, what really got to me was how badly they both mishandled the entire situation. Let's say that they wanted to do a subterfuge. Would it really have been that difficult for them to get their stories straight before they came on the show? Did it never dawn on Pieper that it would have been to their mutual advantage if she had had conversations with several of the men before selecting Brendan for her date? When I was listening to her talk to Brendan at dinner, it sounded like she had never seen a Paradise series before. For one, your average fan could have predicted that Brendan would be "first sand," and that Pieper would arrive later. If we could easily predict that, why couldn't they? And did it never dawn on Pieper what Brendan would have to do to stay there?

To me, they both came off as not only callous towards Natasha, but not the sharpest tools in the shed.

RS wonders why Brendan's apology isn't enough for the fans. Enough for what, a follow? The fans follow cast members that they like, and neither Brendan nor Pieper have revealed themselves to be all that likeable.
