As for the second issue, maybe she just hasn't decided on her F1 at this point in the show. From the previews (basing judgement only on that), this would then be pretty late in the show because it seems it is still pretty hot with Arie until Prague. So much for saving things for her F1, if Jef is.
If she decided that Jef was her F1 after Prague or during FD, LCD, seems kind of late to me. IMO.

The season slows down, filming wise, toward the end, so HTDs actually start in about week 5 of filming, after which there are still over 2 weeks left. So it's not as late as it appears to be on the show. And most of the leads who have "chosen" in the first week of filming didn't have much luck with that choice, so I don't know why that would be considered the gold standard of strategies anyway.
