Raptors win! Geesh what a game. I'm glad they got through the first round. They've had so many bad seasons, this is great for the fans.

San Jose Sharks take command of NHL playoff series against Nashville Predators with Game 2 win

SAN JOSE — The San Jose Sharks, hoping to recapture the luck they believe came from a stray black cat that made its way onto the ice before Game 1, put a stuffed feline on their bench for the warmup prior to Sunday’s Game 2.

A risky move against a team that has a cat for a logo, but sure enough, 60 minutes later Nashville’s chance for a split on the road was sitting in the bottom of a litter box.

And the Sharks are the first to admit that fate cut them a break in this one.

“I thought (Nashville’s) desperation level was just a little bit higher than ours in the second and third, and rightfully so,” said Sharks coach Pete DeBoer, after a 3-2 win in the Shark Tank gave his team a 2-0 series lead.

“You have a team that is facing going down two games. No one wants to lose the first two games of a series. We knew their desperation level was going to be high but we found a way to weather it. The important thing is we won.”

I resigned to the fact long ago that I will watch the playoffs without any stress since my beloved #Habs crashed and burned, however you're not helping with the stress level.

You could have eliminated the Caps THIS game!!! GRRrr
