I think building the home situation was more a timing thing that it happened so close to the announcement. Jade tweeted on Oct 15 that they were starting to look at homes. Then they snap chatted looking at some in Oct/Nov timeframe. Also by then saying they are building the house they literally just put a deposit down so I suspect they will be building in the coming year or so. Tanner already owns their house so they had equity.
I suspect they will be able to build their house with the money they have from tanners house and the payment from ABC.
I am a fan of them but agree it seems quick. However there are many relationships that have known each other less time and had a successful marriage and those who knew each other much more time with an unsuccessful marriage.
I am happy for them that they are happy!!

I started off loving these two, right now I'd say I'm in like 
I mean, they're cute and adorable and sweet together - but all of these money grabs in quick succession cheapens them a little for me. Ugh I'm torn. They plugged their wedding website on IG but it's (understandably) blank, except of course their gift registries.

I don't have a problem with them getting married this quick. Jade gave up LA to move to KC with Tanner. She has been there a while now, so they know that she is okay giving that up to be with him.
Some said why not wait like Des and Chris. Well this is about when Des and Chris had their engagement party, after which the timing of the wedding seemed delayed a bit because of waiting to hear if ABC would air it or not. Also increase time needed for Des to line up everything herself and honestly find the best sponsorships, etc.
Jade and Tanner spend 24/7 together in Paradise, so three full weeks, unlike most mothership couples that spent a total of one week together while filming. Jade then quickly moved to Tanner after the airing of BiP, during which time they were still seeing each other quite openly. They have spent a lot of time together, Jade gave up the LA dream to move to Tanner and seems very happy with the choice, just like Des was, and they seem to be financially stable.
If they know they want to marry, have been together with no problems since June, have successfully managed one person moving for the other and still are happy and perhaps are thinking they want to start a family, then why not marry? In addition ABC is willing to pay for everything and do the planning, so they get more money and don't have to have all the worry.
Personally, I say good for them. ABC has certainly used them to promote the success of their show, so why shouldn't they let ABC pay?
Comparisons to Kaitlyn and Shawn are not valid at all to me. K&S are living in someone else's home, only one of them has even started to have a job and seem at best to still be figuring out what and where they want life to be. I am impressed that Kaitlyn and Shawn still seem to be going strong, and also that they aren't rushing into marriage while their lives seem unstable. But Jade and Tanner are very stable, so why should one couples situation be used to judge another's?
The two couples couldn't be more different IMO, and I am impressed with the reasonable decisions on moving forward that they both seem to be making. JMO.

How long they have been engaged? I don't think jumping to a wedding right away after engaged for a short time is a big deal.Now a days a lot of people are doing that.People eloped too .That is pretty normal now a days.They seem really ready for everything and happy ever since.Plus I noticed since they got engaged jade is excited to do the wedding planning . Her Twitter bio shows so much about becoming a Mrs Tolbert . And she never stop talking about their future together . To me it shows how serious and ready she is . I think jade found a great guy like tanner since we knew how her past was and they seem happy since they got engaged. If they felt they want to get married this quick . Then do it. They are ready and prepare . I don't think anything is wrong.

Maybe it's as simple as ABC or Bachelor production said we can give you this much time during this show (possibly WTA or Benji Tell All) so we've got to get this filmed soon. Take it or leave it. I mean, if you are planning to get married, who wouldn't want a free wedding and all that goes with it?

Well the Bettes historically waited longer just because of timing of their season. Des and Ash H were engaged for 19-20 months before the wedding. So even an ABC wedding for Des and Chris would've taken about that long I think. Who knows, they may have jumped at the chance had it been provided earlier.
I'm more worried about how ABC handles their wedding vs getting married so quickly. How quickly is it anyway? 7 months? When did Tanner propose?
