Exactly! If it's true that Peter turned it down, that would really mess with the narrative of Peter only doing the Bachelorette as a stepping stone to being the Bachelor. I find it hilarious! Good for him if true. As much as I would love to see him on my tv again, I think it's in his best interest to Run...Run, Peter Run.

Yup, agreed. RS is no fan of Peter and RS's sources on Peter are no fans of Peter. I believe this is legit. IMO.

IMO RS' initial source was a Peter source. That was the major goof. This is my opinion and his(RS) major error. Once he really checked his source he realized his major error and turned 180.

RS said his initial source on Peter was the same person he got the Jojo/Jordan spoiler from, so unless Peter's really an evil genius playing the long game all along (which is becoming more believable by the minute because this man  ) I doubt the first spoiler was from him.

RS does not always show his cards and tell the truth. There was a spoiler floating around early on this forum. RS took it from here. It was 100% false. As soon as RS checked it and realized it, he changed his story. By then it had grown roots and taken off. Too late.

IMO Peter wanted the gig, and they wanted him. I don't know where the disconnect occurred so I think this is all drama and Peter is still getting the gig.

I have read on this forum many times that RS is always nice to cast members that act as sources. For example I read on the forum that Raven's camp was RS's source and that's why RS didn't say negative things about Raven on Nick's season. So if Peter's camp is RS's source, why was RS negative all season about Peter. I just feel like the narrative needs to be consistent on how RS treats his sources....jmo though.

Why was the person that RS got the JoJo/Jordan spoiler from was wrong about Peter being the F1. IMO RS got the wrong info on purpose, and also from a fan who they themselves believed Peter was the F1 because they themselves got the wrong info.

The same people who apparently said the contract was signed, before the FRC aired?

I don't believe TPTB wanted Peter when it became apparent to me he can't act, and he doesn't want to propose. TPTB have stated a few times now, they'll wait till BIP is done, because Nick, blah blah blah. IMO he was never considered to begin with.

I wouldn't be surprised if this was all a negotiating technique. I had heard that Peter wanted it originally, but the social media intensity/hatred really scared him and he doesn't want to deal with that. So I can see it going both ways at this point. I hope he still gets it. There aren't any other viable options, IMO.

I found it interesting that the people article came out almost at the same time as MF tweet so they really could be trying to spin this thing. I'm just gonna sit back and laugh at all the irony playing around in my head right now

For a dude they didn't want, they sure did ensure that MF tweet and the People Mag article was coordinated. The news is all over. Such a coordinated media blast for a guy they didn't want.

IMO it's all a negotiation. Everyone has a price. Peter and the producers just haven't agreed to his salary yet.

And the "he wasn't and won't be ready to propose" is ridiculous. He did offer to propose to Rachel (not to mention that their breakup scene was some very compelling TV.) Does anyone honestly think that with 30+ women, most of whom probably put him as their top choice or top two choices, that he won't be able to find someone who melts his heart? The producers know exactly which lead they are casting for. They will find women who will get to him, absolutely. I think when Peter falls, he is going to fall *hard*. Rachel was priming the pump for that. All his selected female will have to do is bat her eyes at him and express longing for a beautiful Neil Lane ring, and he will deliver. And if the producers can't grease that wheel, then they aren't the professionals I think they are. Peter is no Juan Pablo. The women will want him badly.

Rachel's entire season was about Peter. Maybe he wasn't a big hit here but people everywhere else LOVED Peter, so he got a pretty good edit (& TPTB don't just give out clean edits out of the goodness of their hearts). He's just the kind of good looking that TPTB like. He was OVERWHELMINGLY the fave by viewers on every single SM platform to be the next bachelor, it wasn't even close. & the media loves him. I'm not buying that he wasn't in contention or that they didn't want him. It's just not realistic IMO. All Jmo.
